About me and my therapy practice
Reaching out for therapy can take courage, and finding a therapist who feels right for you matters. I'm glad you're here.
I believe everyone can grow and change. Therapy offers a space to understand yourself more deeply, make sense of what's been difficult, and find strengths you may not yet know you have.
I'm a psychodynamic therapist with experience working with adults, young people, children and couples. People come to me with many kinds of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship problems, loss and questions of identity. Sometimes it's simply a sense that something isn't quite right.
I'm committed to offering culturally sensitive, inclusive care. Whoever you are and whatever your background, you'll be met with respect and curiosity, without judgement.
Practice description
Our work together starts in a safe, confidential space where you can say what's on your mind, however difficult or unclear it feels, without judgment.
I'm interested in how your past experiences, relationships, and feelings you may not fully recognise shape how you live now. Patterns that feel confusing or stuck often make more sense once we understand their origins. Over time, this understanding can loosen their hold.
Therapy with me is a collaboration. We'll think together about what you'd like to change, and I'll adapt to what you need rather than follow a fixed plan.
Many people find this work helps them feel more at ease with themselves, cope better with difficult feelings and relate to others in more satisfying ways. My hope is that you'll leave with a deeper understanding of yourself and more freedom to live the life you want.
My first session
The first session is a chance for us to meet and for you to get a sense of whether working with me feels right. There's no pressure to have everything worked out or to know where to begin.
We'll talk about what has brought you to therapy and what you're hoping for. I'll also ask a little about your background and current circumstances so I can begin to understand your situation.
I'll explain how I work and what therapy with me involves, including practical arrangements such as session times, fees and confidentiality. You're welcome to ask me anything.
If we both feel it's a good fit, we can agree how to continue. If not, I'm happy to help you think about other options.

About me and my therapy practice
Choosing a supervisor is one of the most important decisions you'll make in your training. You need someone who will support your development, help you think clearly about your clients, and give you a space where you can be honest about what you're finding hard.
I'm a psychodynamic therapist and a trainee supervisor. I've worked with adults, young people, children and couples across a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship problems, loss and identity. I am completing my supervision training at the Guild of Psychotherapy.
I enjoy working with trainees and newly qualified therapists. I remember how exciting and unsettling the early stages of clinical work can be. I'm committed to culturally sensitive, inclusive practice, and I welcome supervisees from all backgrounds and training orientations.
Practice description
Good supervision should feel safe enough for you to bring your uncertainties, mistakes and strong reactions to clients, not just your successes. I aim to offer a relationship where you can do that without fear of being judged.
My approach draws on psychodynamic thinking. Together we'll pay attention to what happens between you and your clients, including transference, countertransference and the feelings the work stirs up in you. We'll also look at what may be repeating in the supervision relationship itself. These are often where the most useful learning happens.
Alongside this reflective work, I'll support the practical and ethical sides of practice: case formulation, managing risk and safeguarding, keeping boundaries, and working within the BACP Ethical Framework. I'm happy to help with your training course requirements, such as placement hours, reports, and supervisor statements.
Supervision with me is a collaboration. I'll adapt to your stage of training, your modality, and your needs so you can develop your own clinical voice and confidence as a practitioner.
My first session
Our first meeting is a chance for both of us to see whether we'd work well together. You don't need to arrive with polished case material.
We'll talk about your training, your placement and your clinical experience so far, and what you're hoping to get from supervision. I'll explain how I work and what you can expect from me.
We'll also cover practical arrangements: how often we'll meet, fees, confidentiality, what to do between sessions if a concern comes up, and any paperwork your course needs. If we decide to go ahead, we'll agree on a written supervision contract.
Please bring any questions. Finding the right fit matters, and if I'm not the right supervisor for you, I'm happy to help you think about other options.
