About me and my therapy practice

Helping you understand yourself with honesty and compassion.

Therapy isn't about becoming someone different. It's about making sense of who you are, how you've come to be here, and discovering a way of living that feels more authentic to you.

Do you ever feel like you're trying to understand yourself?

Perhaps you've spent years feeling different without knowing why. Maybe you've received a late diagnosis of ADHD or autism and are trying to make sense of your life through a new lens. Perhaps you're living with a chronic health condition such as endometriosis, PCOS or PMDD, and you're carrying not only the physical impact but the emotional weight that often comes with it. Or perhaps life has simply left you feeling disconnected from yourself.

Whatever has brought you here, therapy offers an opportunity to pause, reflect, and become curious about your experience.

I'm Lisa, an integrative counsellor offering a warm, collaborative and thoughtful space where you don't have to have everything figured out. My work isn't about giving advice or telling you who you should become. Instead, I help people develop a deeper understanding of themselves—exploring the patterns, beliefs, relationships and life experiences that have shaped who they are today.

I believe that meaningful change begins with self-understanding. When we can make sense of our experiences with honesty and compassion, we often find that our relationship with ourselves begins to shift. Rather than trying to "fix" what's wrong, therapy becomes a process of discovering what has always been true, what no longer serves you, and what it means to live more authentically.

My approach is integrative, drawing on person-centred, narrative, existential and Gestalt perspectives, alongside over ten years' experience in holistic healthcare. Every person arrives with a unique story, so I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Together we'll shape our work around your needs, your pace and what feels most meaningful to you.

Practice description

Although I work with adults experiencing a wide range of concerns—including anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, relationship difficulties and workplace stress—I have found that many of the people who seek me out are navigating late-discovered neurodivergence or living with chronic conditions such as endometriosis, PCOS or PMDD. While these experiences may look different on the surface, they often share common themes: learning to understand yourself, questioning old narratives, navigating identity, and finding ways to live with greater self-compassion.

I offer both online and in-person therapy, with short-term counselling for focused pieces of work and longer-term therapy for those wishing to explore more deeply.

My first session

Our first few sessions are an opportunity to get to know one another, understand what has brought you to therapy, and decide together whether we're the right fit. A strong therapeutic relationship is at the heart of meaningful counselling, and creating a space where you feel genuinely heard, understood and accepted is central to how I work.

If you're looking for a therapist who values curiosity over judgement, self-inquiry over self-criticism, and understanding over quick fixes, I'd be pleased to hear from you.
