About me and my therapy practice
In my practice, I offer a secure, judgement-free space where you can explore any difficulty you may be experiencing. We can work together to make sense of your situation and feelings. I will listen, challenge limiting beliefs, and encourage fresh perspectives. This approach builds on the momentum that brought you to therapy in the first place. I will work with you to help you feel understood and more at ease in your life.
I believe that past events do impact us in the present, but we don't need to go digging around looking for them. If something is impacting you it will show up in your day to day life in your relationships, memories, thoughts and general wellbeing. We will focus on these present day occurrences. We will work to bring greater awareness to your emotions and relationship patterns, finding out what is important to you and what you need to move forward.
My integrative-existential approach is deeply respectful of how different we are while embracing our common humanity.
I am a qualified, MBACP Integrative counsellor, currently furthering my training on an MSc and PG Diploma in existential psychotherapy.
Practice description
I often work with clients who have met with a crisis and/or are experiencing distressing symptoms such as depression, anxiety, overwhelm, low self-esteem, or are struggling with questions about identity, meaning and purpose. My approach will support you through the difficulty while finding more authentic ways to be, in line with your feelings and values, letting go of expectations that cause distress.
My first session
If you are interested in working with me, I suggest we meet for a free brief consultation. This initial conversation will give us the chance to discuss how we can work together, establish if I'm the right therapist for you, and make a plan for going forward.
