I’m happy to offer a free 15-minute introductory chat, giving you the opportunity to get to know me a little and ask any questions you may have before booking.
I currently offer online appointments at varying times between 10am and 7pm, Monday to Friday.
Please feel free to send me an email with your preferred day and time, and we can arrange a session that works for both of us.
About me and my therapy practice
I specialise in working with teens, students, and young professionals.
There can be many pressures and expectations at this stage of life, and I aim to help you unpick what’s going on and let go of the things that may be holding you back.
I have experience working in primary and secondary schools, the NHS, CAMHS, and Barnardo’s, supporting young people with a wide range of concerns. I also work closely with university students and young professionals navigating the challenges that can arise during times of transition, uncertainty, and change.
My aim is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel able to explore whatever may be troubling you. Our sessions can involve talking, or we can work more creatively using art, games, music, and other techniques to help make sense of what’s going on for you.
Practice description
We will work at your pace, with no pressure to do anything you’re not comfortable with. This is your therapy, and I see my role as a collaborator—supporting you in getting to where you want to be.
Sessions are always private and confidential, offering you a dedicated space to reflect, process, and feel supported.
I understand that starting therapy can feel daunting, so I aim to make the process feel as approachable as possible. Whether you are looking for support with a specific challenge or simply want space to better understand yourself, I’m here to help you explore what’s going on and move towards where you want to be.
My first session
Your first session may feel a little different from future sessions, as it’s an important opportunity for me to get to know you and understand what has brought you to therapy. I may ask more questions than usual, but we will go at your pace, and there is never any pressure to talk about anything you’re not ready to share.
Together, we can begin to explore what you would like support with and think about what you hope to get out of therapy. If it feels helpful, we can also start to identify some goals to work towards.
As our sessions continue and I gain a better understanding of your experiences and what life feels like for you, we can explore different approaches to find what works best. Sessions may involve simply talking, or, if you’d prefer, we can use more creative techniques to support the process.
I usually recommend starting with six sessions, as it takes time to build trust and develop a therapeutic relationship. We can then review how things are going together, reflect on what feels helpful, and decide whether you would like to continue.
