About me and my therapy practice

Hello, I'm Tammy.

Do you ever feel as though you are stuck in the same thoughts, worries or patterns, despite wanting things to change?

Perhaps your mind rarely switches off. You find yourself replaying conversations, questioning decisions, worrying about the future or trying to make sense of things that have happened in the past. The more you think about it, the more stuck you seem to feel.

You may know something needs to change, yet feel unsure where to begin.

Over time, this can leave you feeling emotionally drained, frustrated and disconnected from the life you want to be living.

Counselling offers the opportunity to step out of those familiar patterns and explore what may be keeping you stuck.

Together, we can slow things down and create space to understand your thoughts, feelings and experiences more clearly. Often, greater self-awareness helps us recognise patterns that we may not have noticed before, allowing us to make choices that feel healthier and more aligned with who we are.

I offer a warm, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly without feeling criticised, rushed or expected to have everything figured out.

I provide face-to-face counselling from my therapy room in Kirkdale, Liverpool (L4), as well as online and telephone sessions throughout the UK.

About me and my therapy practice

Hello I'm Tammy

Many of the people who come to counselling have spent years taking care of everyone else.

They are the person others rely on. The one who keeps going, stays strong and puts their own needs to the bottom of the list. From the outside, they may appear to be coping well, yet inside they feel overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally exhausted or unsure of who they are anymore.

If this sounds familiar, you are not alone.

Seeking support can feel daunting. You may have spent a long time talking yourself out of reaching out, convincing yourself that other people need help more than you do. Yet your wellbeing matters too.

As someone who has experienced counselling myself, I understand how vulnerable it can feel to sit with a stranger and talk about the parts of life that are difficult. I also know the positive changes that can happen when you give yourself permission to be heard, understood and supported.

I offer online and telephone counselling throughout the UK, alongside face-to-face sessions from my counselling room in Kirkdale, Liverpool (L4). If you have found my profile through a nearby postcode search, please note that my counselling room may be a short drive away. Many clients choose to travel for in-person sessions, while others prefer the convenience and flexibility of online or telephone counselling.

My aim is to provide a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can slow down, make sense of what you are carrying and begin reconnecting with yourself.

My Approach

I work integratively, drawing from Person-Centred, Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy approaches. This allows me to tailor counselling to your individual needs rather than expecting you to fit into one particular model.

Together we can explore the thoughts, feelings, patterns and experiences that may be affecting your wellbeing today. Sometimes this means looking at current challenges, while at other times it involves understanding how past experiences continue to influence your life.

Some of the experiences I work with...

I work with adults experiencing a range of difficulties, including:

  • Anxiety and low mood
  • Low self-esteem and self-confidence
  • Feeling overwhelmed or emotionally exhausted
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Life transitions and change
  • Childhood experiences and their lasting impact
  • Feelings of abandonment, insecurity or loss
  • Difficulty expressing emotions or setting boundaries

I believe lasting change begins with awareness, self-compassion and curiosity rather than criticism or judgement.

About me and my therapy practice

Hello, I'm Tammy.

Life can be challenging at times...

You may be struggling with anxiety, stress, low mood or low self-esteem. Perhaps you are navigating relationship difficulties, family issues, bereavement, past experiences or a major life change. You may feel overwhelmed, stuck, lonely or unsure where to turn.

Whatever has brought you here, you do not have to face it alone.

Many people arrive at counselling after trying to cope on their own for a long time. They may have spoken to friends or family, searched for answers online, or convinced themselves they should be able to manage by themselves. Yet despite their best efforts, something still doesn't feel right.

Counselling offers an opportunity to pause, make sense of what you are experiencing and give yourself permission to focus on your own wellbeing. It is a space where you can speak openly without worrying about judgement, expectations or needing to have all the answers.

Together, we can explore what may be holding you back, helping you gain a deeper understanding of yourself and work towards positive change. Over time, this process can help you feel lighter, calmer and more confident in your ability to navigate life's challenges.

I offer online and telephone counselling throughout the UK, alongside face-to-face sessions from my counselling room in Kirkdale, Liverpool (L4).

I regularly support clients experiencing:

  • Bereavement and loss
  • Loneliness and isolation
  • Trauma and past experiences
  • Abuse and its lasting impact
  • Life transitions and change
  • Emotional wellbeing and personal growth

I believe that counselling is not about being told what to do. It is about having the space to explore your experiences, understand yourself more fully and make choices that feel right for you.
