About me and my therapy practice
I’m a qualified MBACP registered Integrative Counsellor, based in the South Wales Gwent area, which in short means I am able to blend different therapeutic approaches to suit your unique circumstances.
Life can feel heavy sometimes. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, loss, relationships, or simply feeling stuck, you don’t have to go through it alone. I provide a safe and supportive space to explore your thoughts and feelings, gain clarity, to discover new ways forward.
Together, we’ll work at your pace to help you find hope, self confidence and strength.
Practice description
What does this look like in practice?
For some, that means traditional talking therapy in a calm, private space.
For others, it could involve, walking and talking or incorporating somatic (body-based) techniques to help work through emotions and support with emotional regulation.
It could be that using creative outlets like art or writing maybe helpful.
Your journey is unique, and I’m here to support you in finding the approach that feels most natural to you
My clinical experience
I have 4 years of experience supporting people who have experienced domestic abuse, trauma and other forms of emotional distress, within an domestic abuse organisation.
This means I work from a compassionate trauma informed positioning, with a focus on rebuilding self esteem, emotional safety and empowerment.
I’ve worked within a EAP (Employment based programme) organisation, supporting professionals who have experienced work related stress, anxiety, depression and burnout.
I’ve worked with Cruse Bereavement services providing bereavement support.
Whether you're navigating the aftermath of trauma, depression, anxiety, loss, relationship issues or other complex emotional experiences.
I provide a safe, non-judgmental space where inner change can begin at your pace
My first session
The first session is a chance for us to get to know one another and to consider whether I’m the right therapist to support you.
We’ll talk about what’s brought you to therapy and what you’re hoping to gain from the process.
At the end of the session, we’ll reflect together on how you found the experience and whether it feels like a good fit to continue working together.
