About me and my therapy practice
Hello, and thank you for visiting my profile.
Taking the first step to seek support isn't always easy. Whether you're going through a difficult time, feeling overwhelmed, or simply looking for a safe space to make sense of your thoughts and feelings, I hope you'll find a warm welcome here.
At the heart of my practice is a belief that genuine human connection can be the starting point for healing and meaningful change. I'm a down-to-earth, compassionate counsellor, and I believe that when we feel truly listened to, without judgement or expectation, we create the conditions for growth, healing and a deeper understanding of ourselves.
I'm a qualified Integrative Counsellor who has been supporting adults since 2014. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working with people facing a wide range of challenges, including trauma, substance misuse, complex needs and involvement with the criminal justice system. These experiences have strengthened my belief that every person already has the capacity for growth and healing. Sometimes we just need the right space, support and connection to rediscover it.
Alongside my counselling practice, I'm also an accredited Trauma-Informed Breathwork Facilitator. While counselling and breathwork are different approaches, they both share the same intention: helping people reconnect with themselves, process difficult experiences and move towards lasting, meaningful change.
If you feel we might be a good fit, I'd be delighted to hear from you.
Practice description
No two people are the same, which is why I believe counselling should never be a one-size-fits-all process.
Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another, explore what has brought you to counselling and consider what you hope to gain from our work together. There's no pressure to have all the answers or even know where to begin. We simply start wherever feels right for you.
My role isn't to analyse you, tell you what to do or offer quick fixes. Instead, I'll walk alongside you, offering a safe, compassionate and confidential space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences at your own pace.
As an Integrative Counsellor, I draw on Person-Centred Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, Brief Therapy, mindfulness and Motivational Interviewing, tailoring my approach to your individual needs and circumstances.
Together we can explore whatever is important to you, whether that's anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, trauma, bereavement, relationship difficulties, substance misuse, or simply a feeling that life has become overwhelming.
Above all, my hope is that you'll leave each session feeling heard, understood and a little more connected to yourself than when you arrived.
