Availability
I currently offer psychotherapy and counselling in person from my private practice in Belgravia, a short walk from Victoria Station, as well as online.
My working hours are flexible and I offer both daytime and some evening appointments, subject to availability.
I work with adults aged 18 and over, both individually and as couples, and offer short-term and longer-term therapy depending on your needs and circumstances.
I also offer a free 20-minute introductory call if you would like to briefly discuss what brings you to therapy, ask any initial questions and see whether working together might feel right for you.
Please contact me to discuss current availability.
About me and my therapy practice
People come to therapy for many different reasons. You may be experiencing anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, loss or a significant change in your life. You may feel overwhelmed, stuck in familiar patterns, find yourself overthinking or putting other people's needs before your own, or struggle to understand thoughts, feelings or behaviours that seem difficult to change. At other times, there may be no single crisis – you may simply want to understand yourself and your relationships more deeply.
Life, and navigating the world we live in, doesn't come with an instruction manual. It is completely normal to feel overwhelmed, confused or uncertain at times, particularly when faced with experiences or emotions that can be difficult to make sense of alone.
I am a Relational Integrative Psychotherapist and work with adults aged 18 and over, both individually and as couples. I have experience working across private practice and NHS Talking Therapies, supporting people with a wide range of emotional, relational and psychological difficulties.
My approach is warm, collaborative and tailored to you. I believe effective therapy begins with feeling genuinely heard, understood and able to speak openly without judgement. Our work together can involve exploring what is happening in your life now, understanding how past experiences and relationships may be influencing the present, and recognising recurring patterns that may be keeping you stuck.
For me, therapy is a shared journey rather than something a therapist simply “does” to a client. Developing greater awareness can help us understand what we can and cannot control, recognise the choices available to us and explore different ways of responding to the challenges we face. I truly believe this is work we undertake together, at a pace that feels right for you.
Practice description
I am a qualified Relational Integrative Psychotherapist, a UKCP Registered Clinical Member and BACP Registered Member. I completed five years of postgraduate-level professional training in psychotherapy, gaining a Master’s degree, Postgraduate Diploma and specialist Postgraduate Certificate in Integrative Psychotherapy. I am also an NCPS Accredited Member and APA International Member.
As an Integrative Psychotherapist, I do not believe that one therapeutic approach is right for everyone. My training and experience allow me to draw from different approaches according to the individual and what emerges through our work together. These include Humanistic and Person-Centred psychotherapy, Psychodynamic psychotherapy, Attachment Theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Existential psychotherapy and CBT techniques.
I have experience working across private practice and NHS Talking Therapies. Areas I regularly work with include anxiety and depression, relationships and attachment, self-esteem, addictions and compulsive behaviours, eating disorders and difficulties around food and weight, grief and bereavement, LGBTQ+ experiences and identity, disability and chronic illness, and significant life changes.
I work with adults aged 18 and over, both individually and as couples, and offer short-term and longer-term psychotherapy. Sessions are available in person from my private practice in Belgravia, a short walk from Victoria Station, and online.
Having lived and worked internationally, I also bring a strong awareness of how culture, identity and different life experiences can shape the way we understand ourselves and relate to others. I speak English, Swedish and French, as well as some Italian.
My first session
Before booking a first full session, I offer a free 20-minute introductory call. This gives us an opportunity to briefly discuss what brings you to therapy, what you may be looking for and any initial questions you have, as well as getting a sense of whether working together feels right for you.
Our first full session is then an opportunity to explore things in more depth. There is no expectation that you arrive knowing exactly what you want to talk about or having everything figured out. We can begin wherever feels most important to you and take some time to understand what has brought you to therapy, what may be happening in your life at the moment and what you hope to gain from our work together.
I may ask some questions about your current circumstances, important relationships and relevant past experiences, but the first session is not an interrogation or a checklist to work through. It is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and experience what it is like for us to work together.
If we decide to continue, we can begin thinking together about the direction of the therapy and whether short-term or longer-term work may be most appropriate. The first full session is charged at my usual session fee.
