About me and my therapy practice

Do you find it difficult to maintain relationships of all types? Are you struggling with loss or bereavement? Is getting the right work-life balance proving to be an impossible balancing act? Are you having difficulty with cultural adaptation to a foreign country? Are you experiencing feelings of loneliness, isolation and lack of direction?

If you can identify with any of these feelings, not knowing where to turn to for the help you need can be daunting, and sometimes confiding in family and friends is no longer an option.

Counselling can help. The right kind of counselling will provide you with a safe and trusting environment that can help you to explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace without judgement. It can also support you to find the solutions and strategies that suit you, thereby reducing anxiety and stress which would ultimately improve your mental health.

Practice description

Hello, my name is Patience and I would be honoured to help you. I believe in your ability to thrive when given the right support, and I am committed to walk with you on your counselling journey. I will listen to you without judgement, and support you to use your confidential space and your time as you feel will be most beneficial to you. Together, we can create a relationship which will help promote more positive thoughts and feelings towards yourself and others, and thereby develop more confidence in your relationship with others.

I am a professionally qualified counsellor with a Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling and I also hold a Master of Business Administration degree (MBA). I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and I abide by their Code of Ethics. I hold professional liability insurance and am committed to attending regular supervision and CPD training opportunities in order to work more effectively with you.

Before becoming a counsellor, I had the privilege of working in several industries (like public sector, banking, logistics, consulting and retail), and in various capacities which has given me a wealth of experience in making meaningful connections with people. I have also volunteered and still do for different charities.

Would you like to work with me in an environment where you will feel respected, valued and heard? If so, please give me a call or drop me an email and let me know what's going on with you, and what you would like to be different in your life. I look forward to meeting you. Take care of yourself.

My first session

I offer a free 15 minutes telephone call if you would like, prior to our first meeting. This is an informal conversation for us to ask questions, have a sense of each other and decide if we're a good match to work together.

If we decide to work together, we will think about a possible slot for weekly sessions which will be for 50 mins. In the first session, we’ll explore what has brought you to therapy, and what you want to get from it (your goals).
