About me and my therapy practice

I specialise in helping clients who feel stuck - in pattern of behaviour, a life/work situation or with feelings they don't fully understand - to find a route through their challenges and gain a fresh, more meaningful perspective on their life.

I offer in person appointments in Archway, London N19  and Walthamstow, London E17, and online UK wide.

Increasingly I help millennial and Gen Z clients and specialise in helping them with anxiety, depression, low self-worth, shame, bereavement, critical voice and major life transitions (such as illness, career change or parenthood). I also have experience supporting clients with trauma, issues around identity (including LGBTQIA+ clients) and those negotiating relationship difficulties. In amongst this I have a particular interest in supporting those in the arts and creative industries and the particular challenges their working life can create.

My approach is humanistic. Put simply, this means I work in a personalised, open and collaborative way with each client, engaging deeply with their internal worlds. I pay close attention to what you want and help you understand, and perhaps change your relationship with, some of the invisible obstacles that stand in your way.

Sessions are 50 minutes long and are usually weekly though we can discuss your needs and I will do what I can to accommodate them.

Practice description

I am a qualified and experienced Counsellor and Therapist (MBACP) available in-person at Archway Therapy, N19 & online.

A good working relationship is at the heart of successful therapy. It is therefore important for you to find the right match, someone you feel comfortable to talk to and be with. I offer a free 20 -25 minute phone consultation to start the process. You can find out what working with me might be like, check we are a good fit and get answers to questions you might have. There is no obligation to continue.

If we decide to work together, in our first session I will try to fully understand where you're at and where you want to be. My priority is to create a good rapport, a warm and open relationship in which you can talk about anything on your mind whilst feeling fully accepted as you are.

As we progress I will work in an attentive, intuitive, calm and transparent way, always led by you and your agenda as we explore the issues you are facing.

I see our working relationship as a robust, collaborative dialogue - a quest we're on together, through the challenges you're facing towards a more meaningful and fulfilling life.

In terms of time, we can work in either a time-limited (usually 6-24 sessions) or open ended way, both of which have benefits depending on your situation. We can discuss what feels right for you when we speak. Either way we will review regularly to ensure you are getting what you need from our work together.

I work from two private and comfortable therapy rooms North and East London.

Archway Therapy, London, N19 is a short walk from Upper Holloway & Hampstead Heath Overground or Tufnell Park & Archway tube. It is a short bus journey from Muswell Hill, Crouch End, Kentish Town and Camden.
