About me and my therapy practice

Hi and welcome to my page. My name is Marion and I am experienced Integrative Counsellor/ Psychotherapist.

I work with both adults and young people, integrating various therapeutic approaches. I pride myself on being client-led, warm, honest and non-judgemental.  My ability to build authentic, trusting relationships has been key to creating safe, supportive environments, and enriching therapeutic experiences for my clients.

At present I am only able to offer an online counselling service. I am fully insured.

Practice description

There may be various reasons why you are considering counselling at this time or perhaps you want to work through something specific. This may be a current difficulty or something more historical. Throughout our lives we experience multiple events that can impact us significantly. Perhaps you are feeling anxious, low in mood, in a state of distress, experiencing difficult thoughts or are impacted in other ways by your mental or physical health. You may be looking for a deeper understanding of yourself and your experiences.

I believe these are all areas we can explore together through the counselling process and the relationship we build.

I combine different therapeutic approaches including person-centred, transactional analysis and DBT (dialectical behavioural therapy). I work in a relational way which i find strengthens the counselling experience. I am fully qualified and experienced in all these approaches.

I am passionate about offering an inclusive practice, with a specialist focus on living as a neurodivergent person/family within our broader community.  I also encourage and welcome  feedback from my client's.

Alongside my private practice, I am a counsellor within a therapeutic service working with people with often complex needs, and separately from this at a secondary school. I also offer therapeutic and practical support for neurodivergent individuals and families.

Before qualifying as a counsellor, I worked for many years as an Occupational Therapist with adults and children. As well, I volunteered for a Hertfordshire hospice within the children/families team. This very much complements my inclusive and diverse therapeutic approach.

My first session

I offer a free introductory 20 minute call, so we can meet each other and explore your reasons for enquiring about counselling.
