About me and my therapy practice
If life is feeling heavy, confusing or completely out of balance right now, please know that you don't have to carry it all on your own.
It takes immense bravery to reach out. Working together in a gentle, completely confidential space, I will help you look at what's keeping you stuck and find the courage to make positive changes for your future. You can safely let your guard down here, knowing you are fully supported and heard.
We won't just focus on the struggles, we will unpack old patterns of behaviour and gently rebuild your self-acceptance. As an integrative, person-centred counsellor, I work entirely at your pace to help you find clarity, balance and a genuine sense of inner peace.
Practice description
Successful therapy relies completely on a strong, collaborative relationship. Built on honesty, warmth, trust, humour and non-judgment. I provide a confidential space where we work together to tend to your unique needs.
I understand that every individual and relationship dynamic is different. Because of this, my approach is highly flexible. Whether you are looking for deep, long-term exploration or time-limited, solution-focused support, we will adapt our sessions to suit your pace and journey.
Who I work With:
I am a confident, qualified, and highly experienced counsellor working with adults, teenagers and couples.

I have comprehensive, specific experience supporting clients navigating:
Relationship Support: Couples counselling, relationship difficulties (within families, partnerships, friendships or the workplace), and parenting issues.
Neurodiversity: ADHD and Autistic Spectrum Conditions
Mood and Emotion: Anxiety, depression, emotional regulation and low self-esteem.
Complex Challenges: Grief, bereavement and loss, identity, sexuality, abuse, trauma, self-harm and suicidal ideation, disordered eating, OCD, addiction. I hold specialised training in eating disorders and have worked extensively with a South West based eating disorder charity.
My Background and Experience:
With over 20 years of experience, I bring a deeply grounded perspective to my private practice. My background includes extensive pastoral work supporting young people and adults within schools, higher education settings, charities and the Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) sector.
Qualifications:
Level 4 Diploma in Counselling Practice
Honours Degree in English with Philosophy
My first session
Taking the first step into therapy can feel daunting, so my priority is to ensure your first session feels safe, collaborative, and entirely at your own pace.
Before We Meet:
I will share a simple, clear counselling contract with you to read and sign. Think of this as a mutual pact that protects us both, ensuring strict confidentiality and setting clear, professional conditions for our work together. We will briefly review this at the very start of our session to ensure you feel completely comfortable.
During the Session:
The remainder of our time will focus gently on you:
Your current situation: We will explore what is bringing you to therapy right now.
Your History: We will look at previous circumstances and how they might connect to your current experiences.
Your Goals: Together, we will establish your key focal points for therapy.
Our Next Steps
Once we have a clear picture of what you need, we will work in unison to formulate a collaborative therapeutic plan - one that respects and flexes completely to your desired pace and preferred method of working
