I am currently open to new clients, my working hours are 0800 to 1900 on weekdays.

I currently offer online therapy with a view to opening up a day per week to see clients in person.

About me and my therapy practice

I am an experienced BACP registered psychotherapist (400859) and I offer person-centred counselling. This means that you will have the opportunity and freedom to explore the issues that you feel are most salient to you in a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental environment.

Now, let me ask you a question:

What does it mean to be yourself in a society that discourages self-expression?

To live in a world that disconnects us from each other and from ourselves. A world that distracts us from what’s important and meaningful.

The messages we receive from people is not ‘be who you are’, but instead ‘be what I need’.

In such a place, being ourselves is a revolutionary act.

In what ways are people telling us to be what they need? I’m glad you asked.

It can be as simple as a raised eyebrow, or a disparaging look.

Or more obvious do’s and don’ts.

We get the message.

The way out of this is to receive new, better messages.

To have a connection with somebody who is encouraging us to express ourselves. A connection with somebody who will respect and accept us with no conditions.

This is what you will find in my therapy room.

Together we will build resilience and trust in ourselves which you can ultimately use as a springboard to a better life.

I work with a range of people from different cultural backgrounds with diverse issues, including:

·        Self-esteem and confidence

·        Anxiety

·        Depression

·        Sexuality

·        Trauma

·        Abuse

·        Bereavement

·        Loneliness

·        Masculinity and men’s issues

·        Women’s issues

·        Relationship issues

·        Grief

I offer both online and in-person sessions. In-person sessions will be held at Argyle House in Exeter.

Practice description

At the heart of my therapeutic approach is Person-Centred Counselling, a method rooted in the belief that each individual has an innate ability to grow, heal, and overcome life's challenges. My role as your counsellor is not to direct or advise but to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can freely express yourself, discover your own answers, and embark on a transformative journey.

In a world that often leaves little room for personal reflection and emotional processing, I offer a confidential, non-judgemental, and open space to fill that void. My therapeutic approach is based on Carl Rogers Person-Centred Therapy, which means that you will be met with respect, and empathy.

Having worked in medical communications for 8 years and been a competitive rower for even longer, I felt a strong pull towards a career that allowed me to directly help others. This decision led me to counselling and martial arts; both of which have been foundational in my leading a life of passion. My goal is to help you to reach greater depths of self-understanding, self-acceptance, and ultimately to aid you in creating a life that you are proud of.

We are all shaped by our experiences – both positive and negative – and I believe that having the opportunity to explore these can help us to uncover the treasures that lie underneath. Through our sessions, we will build resilience and trust in ourselves which we can ultimately use as a springboard to a better life.
