About me and my therapy practice

We can work together to ensure you're supported in several ways.

I can hold space for you if, for example, you need to let your feelings out - perhaps you're working through grief, anger, worries, anxiety or a deep sadness?

Whatever feelings you may be holding, I can hold space for them and support you.

Perhaps you want to focus more on how to feel better?

I often look at "psychological tension" with clients, working together on expectations vs reality.

This effective method can empower clients to make changes in their lives. For example:

Expectations - perhaps you're too self-critical and we need to reflect on where this comes from and how to adjust this.

Reality - perhaps you're being treated unfairly in a relationship, by a boss, a co-parent etc and it would help to focus on boundaries.

Whatever the issue, we can explore it together in a safe, non-judgemental space.

Practice description

I have been seeing clients for over four years now, working with mostly short term clients (typically 5/6 sessions), as well as some long term clients (sometimes spanning years).

I was first retained by LGBT foundation, where I developed my skills working with LGBT clients. I then worked for Mind/NHS, where I supported hundreds of NHS patients with a wide range of issues.

I now work as a self-employed therapist full time. You can expect professionalism, flexibility and knowledge around a wide range of issues.

My first session

Initial interest: I offer a free 15 minute phone call where we can discuss what you're thinking about having counselling for and answer any questions we may have about working together, such as what to expect from sessions.

About me and my therapy practice

Caring, interested and on your side - I am a psychotherapist and counsellor that was retained by the charity LGBT Foundation, which contributed to my specialisation in working with LGBT clients.

These experiences have provided me with a wide scope of issues I can support with: anxiety, depression, stress, work stress, burnout, bereavement, trauma, LGBT specific issues and more.
