About me and my therapy practice

Hi , Im Gabi, I specialise in supporting women, birthing people and partners through miscarriage, pregnancy loss, fertility difficulties, IVF and pregnancy after loss. I offer online counselling in Brighton and across the UK, and as a Brighton native, I’m particularly pleased to support people from my hometown.

Pregnancy loss can take many forms. I support people following miscarriage and recurrent miscarriage, ectopic or molar pregnancy, termination for medical reasons (TFMR), abortion, stillbirth and other experiences of pregnancy and baby loss. I also support those navigating the complex emotions of pregnancy after loss, including anxiety, fear and uncertainty.

I welcome LGBTQ+ and queer clients, including trans and non-binary people, and have an inclusive, neurodiversity-affirming approach. I recognise that experiences of fertility, pregnancy, loss and family-building can be different for LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent people, and offer a space where you can bring your whole self without judgement.

My work is informed by both professional and personal experience. Following my own experience of pregnancy loss, I worked as a Nurse Practitioner in an Early Pregnancy Unit before training as a counsellor and psychotherapist. I have since supported hundreds of bereaved parents through pregnancy and baby loss.

I understand that miscarriage and pregnancy loss can bring a complex mix of grief, shock, anger, guilt and anxiety. Fertility difficulties and IVF can bring their own emotional challenges, from treatment and uncertainty to the fear of another loss. Pregnancy after loss can be particularly difficult, even when a pregnancy is deeply wanted.

As a bereaved mother, former Early Pregnancy Unit nurse and therapist, I offer a compassionate, non-judgemental space to process what has happened and explore whatever you are carrying, at a pace that feels right for you.

You don't need to know exactly what you need from counselling before you get in touch. We can start wherever you are.

Practice description

I offer therapy online, so you can have your sessions from wherever you feel most comfortable. I know that finding the right therapist can feel like a big step, and it’s important that you feel at ease with the person you’re talking to.

About me and my therapy practice

Hi, Im Gabi. I am warm and down to earth therapist with many years experience working within women’s health, trauma, bereavement and addiction services. I work in a LGBTQ+ and neurodiversity affirming way creating a supportive and honest relationship in which you can explore whatever is happening for you.

It may be that you are facing a bereavement or a break down in a relationship, PTSD , abuse or addiction or that you have ongoing struggles with aspects of your spiritual, work or home life that are causing you anxiety, overwhelm or depression. Maybe a recent realisation of or diagnosis of ADHD or Autism is ready to be explored…

Whatever it may be that is bringing you to counselling I believe that working with a non-judgemental therapist that you feel comfortable being honest with is the key. When we feel safe to explore our lives we can begin to untangle ourselves from the pressures, conditioning and expectations of society and family. It is here that we are able to find the authentic self that exists within.

Once this authentic self is accessed we are able to make choices that better align with our true values and what often emerges is a path forward that was previously unseen to us or felt out of reach. This new ‘awareness’ in turn brings about a sense of empowerment, confidence and greater control of our lives.

I feel so privileged to witness this process of gentle unfolding and shedding of layers from my clients and am often moved by the profound changes they make when accessing this deep empowering knowing that has always been within.

“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself as I am, then I can change”

Carl Rogers

Practice description

I work both online and face-to-face from the therapy rooms at Yogasara on Picton Street.

I am an Integrative "Relational" therapist which in essence means I can draw on a range of therapeutic approaches that may work for you. This could be through pure talking therapy or bringing in some mindfulness or creative activities when and if they feel appropriate for you. My core belief however is that it really is the relationship between ourselves that is the key.

Being able to trust that the person opposite is non-judgemental and can be trusted with those inner most feelings of joy and happiness, shame and grief was what I was offered many years ago from my own therapists. This modelling of what a respectful and open relationship can feel like can help us recognise those relationships that don’t offer this and find ways to better navigate our place within them.

Alongside Counselling I am also a Specialist Nurse within Women's Health in the NHS and have a background in areas such as Endometriosis , PCOS, Hysterectomy, Peri-menopause, Menopause etc.. and a strong interest in Peri-natal mental health and post-natal depression, IVF and fertility, all stages of Pregnancy and baby loss (Miscarriage, recurrent miscarriage, ectopic, molar pregnancy , TFMR, abortion) to birth trauma and beyond.

Alongside counselling I am also undergoing ongoing training in Earth and Nature Based practices and natural cycle awareness. I have trained with Jane Hardwicke-Collins and other Core shamanic practitioners.

My first session

The first session is often a little clunky as we get to know each other. I understand that this session can be anxiety inducing for you and I often admit to being a little nervous myself....  a normal human reaction to meeting someone new!

We therefore keep this session rather on the surface, exploring what has brought you to therapy and how you have been looking after yourself so far. What has worked and what has not. As with all my sessions however tears and laughter are very welcome!

My passion was born out of my own therapy journey so I am more than aware of how daunting finding the right therapist can be therefore I offer a free non-obligation online or telephone 15 minute session. Sometimes just hearing someone's friendly voice can put us at ease that this person is safe and supportive.

During this session, we can explore what you hope to gain from therapy and how we would work together. I welcome your questions too. You can contact me directly via the BACP Website or  via email at:

About me and my therapy practice

“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.” — Carl Rogers

Hi, I’m Gabi, a warm, down-to-earth counsellor working online. I work relationally, building a supportive and honest therapeutic relationship where you can feel safe to explore what’s happening for you. My approach is collaborative, grounded in care, and tailored to your needs.

Life can bring challenges that leave us feeling stuck, anxious, overwhelmed, or disconnected from ourselves. Sometimes we are navigating changes, loss, or new understandings about who we are. In therapy, we can explore these experiences together, helping you untangle what feels burdensome from what is truly yours, and reconnect with your authentic self.

As we work together, clients often find greater clarity, confidence, and a sense of empowerment. This process allows for more aligned choices, deeper self-understanding, and a path forward that feels achievable. I feel privileged to support people as they gently uncover their strengths, insights, and resilience.

Practice description

I am an integrative, relational therapist, which means I draw on a range of approaches to suit your needs. This might involve traditional talking therapy, or incorporating mindfulness or creative activities if and when they feel helpful. At the heart of my practice, however, is the belief that the therapeutic relationship itself is key.

Having experienced the profound impact of non-judgemental, trusting therapy myself, I value the modelling of respectful, open relationships. Experiencing this can help us recognise when relationships in our own lives don’t offer the same support and guide us in navigating them more effectively.

I am inspired by Internal Family Systems (IFS) and have completed Masters-level arts-based research exploring parts of self in relation to grief and bereavement, particularly surrounding miscarriage and pregnancy loss. Alongside counselling, I work as a Specialist Nurse in the NHS, with a strong interest in perinatal, maternal, and paternal mental health — from fertility and IVF, through miscarriage, birth trauma, and beyond.

My first session

The first session can feel a little awkward as we get to know each other — and that’s completely normal! I understand it can feel anxiety-inducing, and I’ll admit, I sometimes feel a little nervous too. It’s just part of being human when meeting someone new.

In this session, we usually keep things fairly light, exploring what has brought you to therapy and how you’ve been looking after yourself so far — what’s worked and what hasn’t. That said, tears and laughter are always welcome!

My passion for this work comes from my own therapy journey, so I understand how daunting it can feel to find the right therapist. That’s why I offer a free, no-obligation 15-minute online or phone session. Sometimes just hearing a friendly voice can help you feel safe and supported.

During this session, we can talk about what you hope to get from therapy, how we might work together, and I welcome any questions you have. You can contact me directly via the BACP website or by email at:

About me and my therapy practice

I’m Gabi, a warm and approachable relational therapist offering online counselling across the UK. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, overwhelm, burnout, grief, trauma, relationship difficulties and life transitions, with particular experience in women’s health, pregnancy and baby loss, and neurodivergence.

I believe therapy works best when we can be ourselves without fear of judgement. You don't need to arrive knowing exactly what you need or have everything figured out. Together, we can make sense of what is happening, gently explore what may be underneath it, and find a greater understanding of yourself.

I work both short and long term, depending on what feels right for you. Sometimes you may want support with a particular situation; at other times, you may want to explore longer-standing patterns, relationships, self-esteem or experiences that have shaped you.

My approach is relational, collaborative and trauma-informed. I don't see myself as the expert on your life or someone who will tell you what to do. I offer a space to talk openly, with warmth, curiosity and gentle challenge when it feels helpful.

All of you is welcome here.

Practice description

My specialist experience includes pregnancy and baby loss, including miscarriage, recurrent miscarriage, ectopic and molar pregnancy, termination for medical reasons (TFMR), abortion and stillbirth. I also support people experiencing fertility difficulties, IVF, pregnancy after loss and the emotional impact of women’s health conditions such as endometriosis, PCOS, perimenopause and menopause.

Neurodivergence is another significant part of my practice. I work with ADHD, autism and other forms of neurodivergence, including people who are newly diagnosed, exploring whether they may be neurodivergent, or simply trying to understand themselves differently. I take a neurodiversity-affirming approach and welcome LGBTQ+ and queer clients, including trans and non-binary people.

I also work with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationships, burnout, addiction and difficult life transitions.

My professional background includes many years working within the NHS and charity sectors, including as a Specialist Nurse in an Early Pregnancy Unit. Alongside my nursing experience, I am a trained counsellor and psychotherapist.

You don't have to minimise what you're experiencing or know exactly where to begin. We can start wherever you are.

My first session

Starting therapy can feel daunting, particularly when you're meeting someone new. I offer a free, no-obligation 15-minute online or telephone chat before we begin.

It's a chance to tell me a little about what brings you to therapy, ask any questions and get a feel for how I work. Most importantly, you can see whether I feel like someone you would be comfortable talking to. There is absolutely no pressure to book afterwards.

If we decide to work together, our first full session is an opportunity to explore what has brought you to therapy and what you would like from our work together. We can take things at your pace.

During this session, we can explore what you hope to gain from therapy and how we would work together. I welcome your questions too. You can contact me directly via the BACP Website or via email at:
