About me and my therapy practice
Reaching out for help isn’t always easy. Many of us carry anxiety, low mood or a harsh inner critic for a long time before telling anyone, and it can feel safer to keep coping on our own. If you’re reading this, you’ve already taken a brave first step.
Hi, I’m Gabi, a warm, down-to-earth counsellor working online with people in Brighton and across the UK. I work with people who are feeling anxious, low, overwhelmed or stuck, and who want to be kinder to themselves. Together, at a pace that feels comfortable to you, we can make space to understand where those feelings come from. Many people come away feeling calmer, more settled and more compassionate towards themselves.
I have many years of experience in women’s health, bereavement, trauma and addiction services, including supporting people through miscarriage, baby loss and fertility struggles. I’m trauma informed, and I work in an LGBTQ+ and neurodiversity affirming way, whether you’re questioning if you might be neurodivergent or already have a diagnosis of ADHD or autism. You’re welcome to bring whatever is on your mind, whether that’s depression, grief or relationship difficulties.
Practice description
I’m an integrative, relational therapist, which means the relationship between us comes first. I draw on whatever helps you, whether that’s talking, mindfulness or something creative. You don’t need the right words, and tears and laughter are both welcome.
I offer online sessions by video call, Monday to Friday, usually between 9am and 3pm, with some later appointments available. If you’re not sure I’m the right fit, I offer a free, no-obligation 15-minute call by phone or online. You can reach me through the BACP website or at Gabiwilliamscounselling@hotmail.com.

My first session
Starting therapy can feel daunting, particularly when you're meeting someone new. I offer a free, no-obligation 15-minute online or telephone chat before we begin.
It's a chance to tell me a little about what brings you to therapy, ask any questions and get a feel for how I work. Most importantly, you can see whether I feel like someone you would be comfortable talking to. There is absolutely no pressure to book afterwards.
If we decide to work together, our first full session is an opportunity to explore what has brought you to therapy and what you would like from our work together. We can take things at your pace.
During this session, we can explore what you hope to gain from therapy and how we would work together. I welcome your questions too. You can contact me directly via the BACP Website or via email at:
Gabiwilliamscounselling@hotmail.com (please check your spam!)

About me and my therapy practice
Losing a pregnancy, or going through a difficult fertility journey, can be one of the loneliest kinds of grief. It’s often carried quietly, and the people around us may not know what to say, or may expect us to move on. Whatever has brought you here, you don’t have to carry it alone, and reaching out can take a lot of courage.
Hi, I’m Gabi. I support women through pregnancy loss, miscarriage and the fertility journey, including the anxious, uncertain time of pregnancy after loss.
I’m a bereaved mother and a former Early Pregnancy Unit nurse, now a counsellor, so I understand this from both the personal and the professional side. You are the expert on your own story, but I have supported hundreds of women and their partners through this difficult time. I offer a warm, non-judgemental space for whatever you’re feeling, whether that’s grief, shock, anger, guilt, fear or numbness, at a pace that feels right for you.
I work in a neurodiversity-affirming way, so you’re welcome to bring your whole self here. You don’t need to know what you need from counselling before you get in touch. We can start wherever you are.
