About me and my therapy practice
Therapy is a unique journey of personal growth that requires patience and trust. I provide a safe, non-judgmental, and empathetic space, tailored to your individual situation and needs. This supportive environment allows you to explore and make sense of troubling thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.
You may be struggling with anxiety, stress, or depression, experiencing the impact of neurodivergence (including ADHD), OCD, or burnout, or navigating difficult life transitions such as divorce, relationship breakdown, job loss, relocation, or bereavement and grief. I also offer parenting support and work with clients affected by substance use. Alongside this, I support those dealing with trauma, abuse, emotional pain, and loss.
You might feel overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain about how to move forward. Therapy can help you untangle confusion, process difficult experiences, and build greater self-awareness, resilience, and confidence.
Whether you are looking for short-term counselling or longer-term psychotherapy, my focus is on creating a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship. I work at your pace, adapting to your comfort level, and supporting you to make meaningful, lasting change aligned with your values.
Practice description
I trained as an Integrative therapist with the Inter-Psyche Training Institute which is affiliated with the Kent and Medway NHS Foundation, and I hold comprehensive enhanced DBS status. I work in private practice and with a leading organisation that provides therapy to young and adult survivors of sexual abuse, sexual assault, and rape. In this capacity, I am experienced at working with depression, anxiety, guilt, shame, anger, boundaries, intimacy, self-harm and suicidal thoughts.
My integrative therapeutic approach incorporates elements of the psychodynamic, cognitive, existential, humanistic and relational theories and although I consider their principles to be invaluable, my work is dependent on the individual's unique circumstances and strengths.
My first session
It is paramount to find a therapist that you feel compatible and connected with. Consequently, I offer an optional, free-of-charge 20-minute telephone or Teams consultation. That will provide an opportunity to gain insight into your specific situation and address any enquiries you might have. If we agree to start therapy, we can discuss our therapeutic contract and availability.
