About me and my therapy practice

Hello & welcome, this could be your first step towards making effective changes in your life & finding ways of overcoming emotional challenges.

I'm a qualified, BACP registered, and experienced integrative counsellor working in the Tunbridge Wells area.  I am dedicated to helping people cope with their psychological discomfort and enable them to make effective changes in their life.

With a BACP accredited Diploma in Integrative Counselling and as a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), you can be assured that throughout our relationship I will adhere to their stringent ethical framework.

Having worked within a busy NHS primary care GP surgery and as a Listening Volunteer with the Samaritans, I have extensive experience of therapeutically supporting people struggling with a range of mental health issues.

Fully insured and working in private practice near Tunbridge Wells in Kent, I offer in-person sessions, as well as online, and over the phone.

If you're feeling overwhelmed with life's challenges and need some help to navigate the emotional obstacles that are causing you distress, then why not consider calling a professional.

Practice description

I consider each client-counsellor alliance as being unique and believe the foundation for a successful partnership is the therapeutic relationship. Based on warmth and empathy, honesty and confidentiality, non-judgement and self-empowerment I invite you into such a relationship.

Whether it's short-term (between 6-12 sessions) or for longer, our goal will be to enable you to understand and manage immediate emotional disquiet, and to provide you with the means to empower change.

Being an integrative counsellor means I draw upon person-centred/humanistic, psychodynamic, as well as cognitive behavioural therapies effective when working through issues, such as:

• Low mood & depression

• Overwhelming anxiety, stress, & panic attacks

• Low self-esteem & self-confidence

• Anger issues

• Isolation & loneliness

• Difficult relationships

• Loss, bereavement & grief

• Challenging life stages (e.g. adolescence, parenthood, mid-life, retirement)

My first session

With the relationship between client and counsellor being so important, I offer a free introductory phone consultation (approx. 15 mins) giving us the chance to get to know each other a little and talk about therapy before considering working together.

Counselling sessions last for 50 minutes either in person near Tunbridge Wells in Kent (parking spaces available), online, or on the phone.

You are more likely to make progress in your therapy if you can commit to regular appointments. Sessions are ideally on a weekly basis, but may be fortnightly or at other intervals by agreement.

I offer daytime and evening appointments, Monday to Friday.

Sessions are £50 each, with concessionary rates for students.

I look forward to hearing from you!
