About me and my therapy practice
Hello and welcome! :) My name is Alex, and I'm an integrative counsellor with ADHD from New Zealand. Specialising in supporting clients with anxiety, OCD, neurodivergence, grief and trauma.
I offer 1-1 integrative psychotherapy while basing our sessions on Person-Centred principles. This means I hold a non-judgmental, empathetic, and warm space to explore what you'd like to bring, together with curiosity and compassion.
Through the Person-Centred approach, you’ll find that the therapy process is deeply empowering. By fostering a space of genuine understanding and acceptance, you’ll gain insight into your experiences, allowing you to approach challenges with a new perspective. The goal is not only to explore your thoughts and feelings but to truly understand them in a way that makes lasting change possible.
In addition to the core Person-Centred approach, I offer tools and techniques from Cognitive, Narrative, and Somatic therapies to support you as you develop practical strategies for managing life’s difficulties. These approaches are designed to help you build resilience, regain your confidence, and move forward with a sense of purpose and calm.
Whether you’re navigating trauma, anxiety, grief, or seeking personal growth, this work can help you achieve a greater sense of harmony, self-awareness, and emotional well-being. The changes you may experience might include improved emotional regulation, clearer decision-making, healthier relationships, and a stronger connection to your true self.
I believe that, with time and support, you have the ability to thrive in your daily life. If you’re ready to take the first step toward transformation, I’d be honoured to support you in this journey.
Practice description
My practice is solely online and remote currently. I offer short-term and long-term therapy.
I work with UK-based and international clients (excluding the US & Canada).
Sessions are 1-1 and are 50 minutes long.
I have experience working with trauma, grief, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, depression, relationships, self-esteem, immigration, neurodiversity, OCD, work-related issues, women's issues, spirituality, personal development, attachment and co-dependency.
My first session
I offer a free 20-minute consultation by phone or video, where we can chat about your needs and explore whether we’re a good match. This is a relaxed and informal conversation, so there’s no pressure—just an opportunity for you to ask any questions and see if my approach feels like a good fit for you.
To book your free consultation, simply send me an email with your availability, and I’ll be in touch to arrange a time that works for you.
After the Consultation: If you’d like to continue working together, I’ll send you our counseling agreement, which includes important details like confidentiality, data protection, and emergency contact info. You can review it at your own pace, sign it, and send it back to me.
Once that’s in place, we can schedule our first session together.
First session: We can use the first session to establish goals or your desired outcomes from therapy. The number of sessions can be left open ended or we can agree on a number of sessions initially. This can be reviewed and changed if needed as we progress through the counselling.
