I offer four daytime appointments:
10:00am, 11:00am, 12:00pm and 1:00pm
Sessions are available online or by telephone.
These quieter daytime appointments can work well for people who are working from home, parents with time after school drop-off, shift workers, retirees, or anyone looking to prioritise their emotional wellbeing during the day.
Online and telephone counselling allows you to access support from the comfort and privacy of your own space, without the need to travel or fit appointments around a commute.
About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I'm Rachael.
Do you often find yourself putting other people's needs before your own?
Perhaps you're the person everyone turns to for support. You keep things going, take care of your responsibilities, and do your best to be there for others. Yet underneath it all, you may feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, anxious, or disconnected from yourself.
You might struggle to switch off, feel guilty when you say no, or find yourself carrying the weight of everyone else's expectations. From the outside, it may look as though you're coping, but inside, you're tired of holding everything together.
You don't have to work it all out on your own.
I offer a warm, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can slow down, explore what's going on for you, and begin to understand yourself more fully. Together, we can make sense of what's weighing on you, helping you reconnect with your needs, values and sense of self.
My approach is grounded in the belief that you already hold many of the answers within you. My role is to walk alongside you with compassion, curiosity and acceptance as you explore what feels important.
Practice description
I have experience working within mental health charities, supporting adults through a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges, including anxiety, overwhelm, burnout, trauma, bereavement, low self-esteem, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, abuse and sexual violence.
Many of the people I work with feel emotionally exhausted. They may be struggling to cope with life's demands, finding it difficult to switch off, or feeling disconnected from themselves after spending so much time focused on other people's needs.
I work in an integrative, person-centred way, which means therapy is tailored to you as an individual rather than following a fixed formula or one-size-fits-all approach.
I won't tell you what to do, give advice, or decide what is best for you. Instead, I offer a supportive space where we can explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences together.
My role is to help you make sense of what's happening in your life, deepen your understanding of yourself, and support you in finding a way forward that feels right for you.
I believe that lasting change often begins with feeling truly heard, accepted and understood
My first session
Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you've never had counselling before. That's why I offer a free 15-minute telephone consultation, giving us a chance to get to know each other, explore what you're looking for, and see whether we feel like a good fit.
Your first full session builds on that initial conversation. We'll talk about what's brought you to therapy, what you hope to gain, and what you need in order to feel safe and supported. There is no pressure to share everything at once. We'll work at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Together, we'll begin shaping a way of working that feels manageable, steady, and right for you.
