About me and my therapy practice
I believe counselling should be a space where you feel comfortable being yourself, without fear of judgement. My approach is warm, compassionate and down-to-earth, offering a safe, confidential space to explore whatever is on your mind, at your own pace.
I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor with extensive experience supporting people through anxiety, grief, loss, relationship difficulties and life's challenges.
My approach is relational, attachment-informed and person-centred. I believe our past experiences and relationships can shape how we feel about ourselves and others. Together, we can explore these patterns, develop greater self-understanding and find ways forward.
I work primarily with adults and also welcome young people aged 13 and over.
Practice description
My approach is person-centred, relational and attachment-informed. I believe that building a trusting therapeutic relationship is at the heart of counselling, allowing you to feel heard, understood and accepted.
I tailor the way I work to your individual needs, drawing on different therapeutic approaches to explore your experiences, relationships and patterns that may be affecting your wellbeing.
I have extensive experience working with neurodivergent individuals, and recognise the importance of adapting counselling to suit different ways of thinking, communicating and processing emotions.
Alongside traditional talking therapy, I can incorporate creative approaches, including objects, art and images, where these may help you explore feelings that are difficult to put into words.
Above all, I aim to offer a warm, supportive space where we can work together at a pace that feels right for you.
My first session
I offer a free initial consultation by telephone or video call. This is an opportunity for us to have an informal chat about what has brought you to counselling, what you hope to gain from our sessions and any questions you may have.
It's also a chance for you to get a feel for how I work and whether I might be the right counsellor for you. Finding someone you feel comfortable with is important, and there is no obligation to continue.
If you decide to go ahead, we can discuss practical arrangements and agree on a suitable time for your first counselling session.
