About me and my therapy practice

I offer a warm, relaxed and authentic space, either Face to Face or online, to help you overcome and reflect on any challenges you may be experiencing.

Finding that genuine connection is really important, and can play a key role in the overall success of counselling. You will often sense whether a therapist is right for you, so listening to your gut feeling will often lead you to the right place and where you need to be.

I understand the feelings of nervousness when approaching somebody for support, it can feel daunting and completely out of your comfort zone. From personal experience, when seeking a counsellor for the first time (prior to my journey to becoming one), it brought about an anxiety that I never knew I had.

I work face to face in a dedicated Counselling, Wellbeing & Therapy practice in Horsham, West Sussex, which offers complete privacy and a warm, safe space for you to relax and bring whatever is on your mind. The practice is accessible via public transport links, and car parks are close by. I also work online via a secure video link and via the telephone if preferred.

My experience spans across all ages (16+), and my practice offers a warm, relaxed and authentic space, and a therapeutic approach centred around respect, empathy and non-judgement, providing you with an opportunity to breath and reflect on any challenges or difficulties you are experiencing.

Individual counselling can help with Bereavement, Loss, Depression, Anxiety, Stress, Relationships, self-esteem and many other life challenges. Through my work at a local hospice, I specialise in supporting family members and care givers through the challenges of grief, whether this is anticipatory or following the loss of somebody.

Please feel free to get in touch to arrange a free of charge 30 minute consultation to get a sense for the process and establish whether you feel comfortable to move forwards.

I look forward to connecting with you and supporting you with the next step in your journey.

Practice description

Counselling takes place in a safe space, where you can be met with sensitivity and empathy – and without judgement.

Using a holistic, client-centred and collaborative counselling approach, we can explore your situation in a way that leads to fresh perspectives whilst navigating through any suffering or difficulties that life brings. Counselling isn’t about providing solutions or advice, but empowering you to make your own changes and sitting beside you in your pain or suffering.

Working together I can help you gain greater insight into the difficulties you are facing, help you understand why you act or react to them the way you do, and see how you can start to make better, heathier choices moving forward.

I offer a free 30-Minute consultation which can help you decide whether counselling is for you. This enables us to discuss the reasons you are thinking of coming to therapy, whether it could be helpful for you and whether I am the right person to help.

My first session

I offer a free 30-Minute consultation, and during this initial session we discuss what has brought you to seek support, and provides an opportunity for you to ask questions and get a feel for the process.

Finding a genuine connection is really important, and can play a key role in the overall success of counselling, so this consultation can help you decide whether counselling is for you, and whether you feel comfortable progressing.

Counselling is available on a short term, time limited, or open ended basis to suit your specific circumstances or needs.

Hopefully following this consultation, you will feel comforted and accepted and ready to take the next step.
