Everyone deserves time to look after their mental health, so if you are struggling, I invite you to reach out. I have supported clients to work through issues such as anxiety, depression, overwhelming thoughts and emotions, anger, panic attacks, attachment issues, suicidal ideation, childhood trauma, bereavement and support people to explore suspected and diagnosed neurodiversity.
I have experience working with children, teenagers and adults. I am an integrative counsellor which means that I incorporate a range of models and approaches into my work with clients, depending on their current needs.
Whilst I incorporate elements of psychodynamic counselling, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) as appropriate, my main approach is person centred. Having several therapeutic approaches means that I can tailor therapy to what best suits you and your individual needs and challenges. I offer play therapy for children, including sand tray therapy.
I will work at a pace that feels comfortable for you and work with whatever you bring to sessions. We will review our work together regularly, which allows us to collaborate and find out what you feel is working or not working and what you would like to focus on. I provide a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space away from the demands of everyday life, where we can explore your difficulties and find ways to move forward towards improved mental health.
I can support you in making sense of how you are feeling, and to explore how you can move forward from the place you are at now in your life. Our sessions would involve building a trusting relationship, and through this you would develop more of an understanding of yourself and what you hope to change going forward.
I have supported children, young people and adults to work through issues such as depression, anxiety, overwhelming thoughts and emotions, anger, panic attacks, attachment issues, self harm, suicidal ideation and traumatic experiences.

I provide both short and long-term work, with progress reviews at regular intervals.

My first session
I believe that the relationship between you and your counsellor is key to facilitating the changes that you wish to make. I offer you a safe and supportive relationship to enable you to work towards achieving your goals.
