About me and my therapy practice

I provide creative play and art interventions through mediums such as, art, sand tray, role play as well as life story, social stories and narrative activities adapted to children’s needs and stage of development. I can help children to express themselves, understand their emotions and process difficult life experiences.

I have worked with children and young people for twenty years in  community and educational settings.

I use strength-based approaches and have experience working with neurodiversity and non-verbal communication. I can offer help to children experiencing anxiety, attachment difficulties, challenges at school, special educational needs, grief, trauma, behavioural and relational difficulties. 

Practice description

I provide a free telephone consultation for parents and carers to discuss your child's needs and we can determine if play therapy is a good fit. Following this, we will arrange to meet in person at the for an initial meeting.

My first session

In our initial meeting we will discuss your child's strengths and difficulties and agree on areas of support. We will meet in-person at the play therapy studio to give your child the opportunity to explore and to feel comfortable in the space.

About me and my therapy practice

I am an integrative therapist and clinical supervisor with experience working with children, young people and adults. 

I provide a non-judgemental, empathic, safe space for clients, with sensitivity to difference and diversity.

Practice description

As an integrative therapist, I provide flexibility to meet an individual’s unique needs. I incorporate psychodynamic, person-centred, body/somatic, systemic and solution focused approaches. I offer open ended sessions to facilitate the process of therapeutic engagement, including facilitating the use of creativity to explore feelings and experiences.

I have over twenty years’ experience working with children, young people and adults as a social worker and therapist. This has been in a diverse range of settings, including at home, in the community, residential and in schools. I have worked with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma and grief. I have a particular interest in supporting parents and carers.

In my work with children and young people I provide play and art interventions adapted to their needs and stage of development. I use strengths-based approaches, and have experience supporting children who are neurodiverse and facilitating non-verbal communication.

About me and my therapy practice

I provide supervision for trainee and qualified therapists working with children and young people. 

My supervision is based on an integrative framework using both the Seven-Eyed model and a Strengths Based approach. Integrating these theories allows for the supervisory alliance to be tailored to the needs of you and your clients.

Practice description

I provide clinical supervision to trainee and qualified counsellors. I work with an integrative approach and we can explore the best way to support you, including creative strategies and strengths-based solution-focused interventions.

I have twenty years experience working with children and young people, adult mental health and providing parenting support. I have experience working in a wide range of settings, including schools, charities and local authorities. I have a background in Social Care and I am experienced in Safeguarding and managing risk. 

I am an experienced therapist in schools and private practice. I have extensive tools and resources for working in a culturally sensitive way with clients with complex trauma and diverse needs. 



My first session

I offer a free half hour telephone or video consultation, this allows time for questions and an opportunity to find out if I am the best fit to support your supervisory needs.

After this, if you would like to work together, we can discuss a contract and we can arrange a time/place that works for us both.
