About me and my therapy practice
I work with adults and young adults who may be struggling with trauma, difficult or emotionally unsafe relationships, anxiety, shame, loss or a sense of feeling overwhelmed or disconnected from themselves.
I am a qualified Person-Centred counsellor with a BA (Hons) in Counselling from the Metanoia Institute. My work is relational and trauma-informed, and shaped by my multicultural background and experience of living between different cultures and languages.
My work is grounded in the belief that difficult emotions and patterns often make sense in the context of our history, relationships and life experiences.
Alongside talking therapy, I am trained in Brainspotting (BSPUK), a gentle body-based approach that can support deeper processing by bringing trauma work to a somatic level.
Practice description
My work is Person-Centred, relational and trauma-informed. I see therapy as a collaborative process built on trust, honesty and understanding, where thoughts, emotions and experiences can be explored at a pace that feels manageable for you.
I aim to offer a space where you can feel heard and understood, while working together to make sense of what you are experiencing and explore meaningful ways forward.
I am particularly interested in how our early relationships and experiences can shape the way we relate to ourselves and others in the present. Together, we can gently explore patterns that may once have helped you cope but may now leave you feeling stuck, overwhelmed or disconnected from yourself.
My first session
I offer a free 30-minute introductory consultation, either online or by phone, giving us an opportunity to meet and talk about what is bringing you to therapy at this point in your life. It is also a chance to explore whether working together feels right for you.
If we decide to continue, ongoing sessions last 50 minutes and usually take place weekly, although this can be discussed together depending on your circumstances and what feels most supportive.
