About me and my therapy practice
Reaching out for counselling can feel like a big step, and it often takes a lot to get here. I really value the trust it takes to begin this process.
I’m an integrative counsellor, which simply means I don’t believe in a “one-size-fits-all” approach. Instead, I draw on different ways of working depending on what you need, and what feels most helpful for you as an individual.
At the centre of my work is the relationship we build together. I want you to feel comfortable, heard, and able to talk about whatever is on your mind — at your own pace, in your own time. There’s no pressure to say things in a certain way or to have it all figured out. We just start where you are.
In our sessions, I’m alongside you as you make sense of things, explore what’s been difficult, and begin to understand yourself a little more. Over time, we can work towards finding ways forward that feel more manageable, more grounded, and more in line with who you are and what matters to you.
I offer counselling online, over the phone, or face to face, so you can choose the option that feels most comfortable for you.
At its heart, counselling with me is about having a safe, supportive space where you don’t have to carry everything on your own — and where, slowly, things can start to feel a little clearer and lighter.
Practice description
In our sessions, there’s no pressure to be anything other than yourself. You might want to explore someone who means a lot to you, sharing the music that means the most to you, or opening up about something you’ve never said out loud before. We work together to make sense of what’s going on and gently explore ways forward that feel more manageable and in line with your values.
Alongside the more difficult moments, there is also space for warmth and connection — and sometimes even moments of laughter where it feels right. I believe counselling doesn’t always have to feel heavy all the time; it can also be human, real, and grounding.
I offer a 30 minute initial consult to get a sense of what you are hoping to get from counselling and then give you the option to book your first session either online, over the phone or face to face, so you can choose the option that feels most comfortable and accessible for you.
My aim is to offer a space where you don’t have to carry things alone — a space where you can feel supported, understood, and gradually reconnect with yourself and what matters to you.
My first session
We can arrange an initial free zoom call or phone call to discuss how we can work together and what you feel you need from counselling. We can then agree a date and time for your first session. The duration of each session is 50 minutes.
Sessions can be weekly or fortnightly and I can offer sessions online or over the phone depending on your requirements.
