About me and my therapy practice

I am an integrative counsellor and coach, working collaboratively with clients to explore where they are now and to define where they want to get to.

I help clients who are looking for something more than pure counselling or coaching can offer. I provide a safe and confidential space to explore past and current difficulties, as well as opportunities to look to the future. Working together in this way enables meaningful and lasting change to be achieved.

Whilst we all have times in our lives when we need some additional help, taking that first step can be difficult. Central to my practice is building a strong non-judgemental relationship built on trust, supporting you to explore difficult and overwhelming feelings, and really feel heard. What we focus on is up to you; this may be a specific issue or event, a general feeling of being ‘stuck’ or the desire for a fresh perspective. Every person is unique, and my integrative and innovative approach means that I can work with you as an individual with your own needs and preferences.

Practice description

At the heart of my practice is Person-Centred counselling, providing a nurturing relationship to support you to overcome difficulties and to find your own path to living a more fulfilling life. I draw on a number of different models such as Transactional Analysis, Gestalt and Acceptance Commitment Therapy, and am informed by Existential and Psychodynamic theory.

If you wish to, I can work creatively, using objects, tactile materials or drawing to help you express thoughts and feelings that are hard to put into words, and to find new perspectives. Where appropriate, I bring coaching into our work together to explore your future goals and to map a route to move forward.

I work with young adults at Ravensbourne University providing counselling to undergraduate students. In my private practice I work with adults of all ages with a range of presenting issues, and I have a special interest in infertility and donor conception.

I have over 20 years of diverse work experience; from academia through corporate HR to various roles in the voluntary sector working with young people and those affected by donor conception. In all my roles, my greatest fulfilment has come from listening to, supporting and mentoring those around me, and this encouraged me to retrain as a counsellor and coach.

I trained at the University of East London and hold a PGDip Integrative Counselling and Coaching (Distinction). I have a Bachelor's (Hons) degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in HR Management.

Please get in touch to explore how we might work together.
