About me and my therapy practice
You may be feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, caught in cycles of overthinking, struggling with self-doubt, or finding it difficult to switch off from your thoughts. Perhaps stress, low mood, burnout, or a sense of feeling “stuck” has started to affect your day-to-day life.
If this feels familiar, therapy can offer a space to pause, make sense of what’s happening, and begin to understand these patterns in a deeper way. Together, we can explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences at your own pace, helping you move towards greater clarity, self-awareness and emotional wellbeing.
I have particular experience supporting adults experiencing anxiety, addiction, depression, health anxiety and ongoing challenges with low self-esteem. Many of the clients I work with describe feeling constantly "on edge", over-analysing situations, struggling to switch off their thoughts, or feeling that whatever they do is never quite good enough. Therapy can help you understand where these patterns come from and develop a different, more compassionate relationship with them.
I also support people who are dealing with the impact of bereavement, family issues, or difficult life experiences that continue to affect how they feel day to day. This can sometimes include the effects of trauma, which may show up as anxiety, emotional overwhelm, or feeling stuck in certain patterns of thinking or behaviour.
I work with clients who are navigating the impact of ADHD, autism, or a recent neurodivergent diagnosis. Receiving a diagnosis can bring relief, confusion, validation, grief, or all of these at once. Therapy can provide a supportive space to explore what this means for your sense of self, your relationships, and your future.
Practice description
I am an integrative counsellor, which means I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches to suit your individual needs. I believe that every person is unique, and that therapy should reflect this. Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach, I work collaboratively with you to understand your experiences and find a way forward that feels right for you.
Clients often tell me they appreciate having a space where they feel able to bring whatever is on their mind, without fear of judgement. I aim to create a space where all thoughts, feelings and experiences are welcome, even the ones that may feel difficult or overwhelming. While I offer empathy and support, I also take an active and creative approach, helping clients gain insight into patterns that may be keeping them stuck and develop a greater sense of confidence in themselves.
My first session
We can start by exploring what brought you to therapy in the first place and then gradually explore what else comes up for you. I will explain the confidentiality of our sessions and any other practicalities that you may need to know. We can agree on a regular time to meet, with the understanding that we can always adjust it in the future if needed.
Therapy is a collaborative process, and we will work at a pace that feels comfortable for you. If you decide to get in touch, I will offer an initial conversation so you can ask questions and get a sense of whether working together feels right for you.
As we start the therapy journey together, remember - there is no wrong way to do it - just bring yourself.
