About me and my therapy practice

I believe that true healing happens when we listen to both the mind and the body. While I have an extensive background in trauma recovery—working with everyone from young people in schools to survivors of crisis—I also work closely with individuals navigating the challenges of anxiety, relationship issues, low self-esteem, and OCD.

I know that every person's journey is unique, and sometimes traditional talk therapy isn't enough to reach the root of what you’re feeling. In our sessions, we won’t just "talk" about the problem; we’ll look at how it lives in your nervous system. By combining traditional therapy with gentle somatic tools and creative arts, I help you move past feeling "stuck" and provide you with practical ways to manage stress.

Whether you are struggling with intrusive thoughts, finding it hard to set boundaries in relationships, or simply not feeling "good enough," my goal is to give you the tools to understand your past while feeling more grounded and confident in your present.

Practice description

Seeking support is a significant step, and I believe the environment where that happens matters just as much as the conversation itself. I offer a range of ways to connect—whether you prefer face-to-face sessions, telephone, or online counseling, ensuring you can choose the format that feels safest and most convenient for you.

For those visiting in person, I work from a dedicated therapy cabin nestled in my back garden. This space is designed to offer complete privacy and comfort, providing a peaceful sanctuary away from the hustle of daily life. To make your arrival as stress-free as possible, there is also plenty of off-road parking available.

As a counselor, I pride myself on being a warm, compassionate, and empathic person. My goal is not to follow a rigid script, but to meet you exactly at your point of need. Together, we will create a space where you feel truly seen and supported as we navigate your journey at your own pace.

My first session

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, so I prioritize making our first interaction as transparent and comfortable as possible.

1. Optional 10-Minute Consultation

If you have questions before we dive in, we can start with a complimentary 10-minute telephone call. This is a low-pressure way for us to see if we’re a good fit and for you to ask any initial questions about how I work.

2. The Practicalities

When we begin our first formal session, we’ll spend the first few minutes reviewing our contract. This ensures:

• You understand your rights regarding privacy and data.

• We are clear on boundaries and session logistics.

• You feel safe and informed before we begin the deeper work.

3. A Client-Led Experience

Once the paperwork is out of the way, the floor is yours. I don't follow a rigid "checklist" because I believe the session should be client-led to suit your specific needs. You might choose to:
