About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I'm Mark, thank you for visiting my page. You've taken the First Step by visiting this website, keep going as help is not far away!

I studied at The University of Salford on a BACP accredited course, attaining a PGDip Counselling and Psychotherapy.

I believe that most problems can be tackled using counselling practices, however, I will always refer on to other practioners if we have reached the limits of my capabilities, to ensure you get what you need.

I have some special interests in clients having diagnoses of Autism, ADHD and PTSD. I have also worked widely with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, alcohol and substance misuse, trauma, bereavement and loss, psychosis, suicidal ideation, health anxieties and terminal diagnoses.

My clients have been aged 18 -80+.

Practice description

What I can help you with

Some clients just need a space to share their experiences, others need to vent about work or offload the pressures life brings. Some have traumatic and life-changing events to carefully unpick and address. Whatever it is that brings you to counselling, we can take the journey together, at your pace and on your terms.

Having worked through the covid-19 emergency in intensive care I have an affinity with healthcare services staff and may be able to offer lower rates.

At present, I do not offer couples therapy or work with people under 18 years of age.

My first session

If needed, I offer a free telephone/online consultation for me to assess your needs and so that we can each decide if we want to work together. Following that we will book our first session.

I understand that face to face counselling can be difficult for some people, building trust in the relationship is important so I offer online therapy at first if you need it.
