About me and my therapy practice

I’m a pluralistic counsellor offering online therapy for adults across the UK. Being pluralistic means I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to suit each individual, as I believe no single way of working fits everyone.

I believe you are the expert in your own life. My role is to offer a supportive and respectful space where we can explore what’s going on for you and consider what might help. I work collaboratively, tailoring each session to your needs, goals, and preferences.

Before training as a counsellor, I worked in healthcare and education, which has given me valuable insight into the different challenges people face at various stages of life. I have particular experience supporting people through grief and bereavement, anxiety, low mood and depression, as well as issues such as low self-esteem, burnout, life transitions, and the challenges of student life.

All sessions are held online, and I work with adults across the UK.

Practice description

I have a BSc in Psychology and an MSc in Counselling from Abertay University. I also spent several years volunteering as a counsellor with Cruse Scotland, supporting clients through bereavement and loss.

I offer counselling online via Zoom, providing a safe and supportive space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each individual’s needs.

I work in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice and the BACP Guidelines for Online Counselling and Psychotherapy. You can find more information about these standards on the BACP website.

I am registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) and hold full insurance for personal liability and professional indemnity. I am also ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) trained and hold PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) membership.
