About me and my therapy practice
I specialise in working with clients experiencing big life changes, anxiety, relationship challenges and the impact of past traumas, but there’s no reason too big or small to seek out therapy.
I work as a Therapist and Coach under my business name Aceso Healing Therapies, and believe in taking a holistic approach to mental health. I encourage my clients to assess their overall wellbeing in order to understand where the repair needs to begin. The development of our relationship will be the starting point to the therapy work.
My intention is to provide a comfortable and safe space to talk openly and honestly, and I encourage exploration of behavioural patterns and reactions in our sessions, with the aim to shine a light on how they might be impacting your life. I work with the belief that my role is to facilitate the discovery of insights and learnings that can allow self-compassion and positive acceptance.
Choosing to start therapy is a brave step, and I can appreciate that finding the right therapist can be an intimidating process. I'm committed to putting your needs first and to work at whichever pace is required. Our work together will be informed by your goals and what you want to get out of them.
Practice description
I offer both Counselling and Coaching although I tend to advise that we begin with Counselling. In order for us to look forward, I believe it’s helpful to understand and make sense of what has come before. Counselling sessions are 50 minutes whether online or in person, and can be short or long-term depending on your needs. The average time working with a client therapeutically can typically be between 6 months and 2 years.
My first session
Ahead of booking any sessions, I suggest a 20 minute free and confidential exploratory call. This allows you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about my approach. It's also important to see if you feel comfortable talking with me as I believe a solid relationship is the foundation for any effective therapeutic work.
