Availability

About me and my therapy practice

I am a compassionate and experienced counsellor, dedicated to supporting people as they navigate life’s challenges and discover their own strength and resilience.

At times, life can feel overwhelming, leaving little space to process our thoughts and emotions. We may hesitate to share our struggles with family or friends for fear of burdening them, and as a result, carry our difficulties alone. I understand the value of having a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space where you can talk openly and feel truly heard.

Having previously worked in the corporate world, I appreciate the many internal and external pressures that can affect self-esteem, confidence, and overall wellbeing. Whatever you may be facing, I offer a warm, empathic, and confidential environment where we can explore your experiences together, gain greater understanding, and identify the best way forward for you.

Practice description

I have come to appreciate how profoundly our early experiences can shape the way we respond to challenges and relationships in the present. In my practice, I blend psychodynamic thinking with a relational approach, offering a supportive therapeutic relationship in which you can feel heard, understood, and accepted. Together, we can explore your experiences, deepen your self-awareness, and work through difficult feelings at a pace that feels right for you.

I have experience supporting people with a wide range of issues that can affect everyday life. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, depression, work-related difficulties, bereavement, the impact of trauma, or challenges relating to neurodivergence—either your own or that of a family member—I work sensitively and intuitively, recognising that every person’s experiences and responses are unique.

I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is built on trust, empathy, and genuine acceptance. My aim is to create a safe, non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about whatever is on your mind, without fear of criticism or misunderstanding. I will work with whatever you choose to bring to our sessions.

I offer weekly 50-minute sessions during both daytime and evening hours. Therapy can be short-term and focused on a specific issue, or open-ended, allowing us the time and space to explore matters more deeply, depending on your individual needs.

My first session

The initial session is an assessment session that lasts up to a hour where can meet and think about what has bought you to counselling and for you to hear about how I work.  We can discuss how to take things forward if that is what you decide.

About me and my therapy practice

I am a compassionate and experienced counsellor dedicated to supporting people in finding strength and resilience as they navigate life’s challenges. At times, life can feel overwhelming, and it can be difficult to find the space to reflect on what we are experiencing. We may hesitate to burden family or friends, carrying our thoughts and feelings alone with nowhere to turn.

I understand the value of talking therapy and the positive impact it can have when offered within a safe, supportive, and confidential environment. Having previously worked in the corporate world, I am also aware of the internal and external pressures that can affect self-esteem, confidence, and overall wellbeing.

Whatever you may be finding difficult to manage, I offer a warm, empathic, and confidential space where we can explore what you are experiencing together and consider the best way forward.

Practice description

I have come to appreciate how profoundly our early experiences can shape the way we respond to events and relationships in the present. In my practice, I integrate psychodynamic thinking with a relational approach, offering a supportive therapeutic space where you can explore your experiences, feel genuinely heard and understood, and work through difficult thoughts and feelings at your own pace.

I have experience working with a wide range of issues that can affect our everyday lives. We each face challenges in our own way, whether that involves depression, anxiety, work-related difficulties, exam pressures, bereavement, trauma, or navigating neurodivergence—either your own or that of a family member. I work intuitively and collaboratively, recognising that each person's experience and response to life's challenges is unique.

For me, the foundation of effective therapy is a relationship built on trust, empathy, and acceptance. I aim to create an environment where you feel safe to bring whatever is on your mind, without fear of judgement. Our work together will be guided by what feels most important to you.

I offer weekly 50-minute sessions during the day and in the evenings. Therapy can be short term and focused on a particular issue, or open-ended, allowing the time and space needed to explore things more deeply, depending on your individual needs.
