About me and my therapy practice

Hello, welcome to my profile page. We all experience problems from time to time, but perhaps you have particular concerns that are hard to manage on your own. I firmly believe in the value of talking through problems, and have considerable experience in supporting people through many of life's challenges.

Struggling to cope alone, either in the short-term or over a long period of time, can increase feelings of loneliness and anxiety. Regular weekly counselling provides a safe, non-judgemental space in which to talk about your difficulties with someone who really listens, with empathy and understanding.

My purpose in the counselling process is to help broaden your self-understanding and insight into the things that trouble you. I offer a confidential place in which we can explore your concerns together, and move towards the outcomes you want to achieve.

I work with individual adults over 18;  LGBTQ+ ; senior citizens.

Practice description

I offer my In-Person counselling service in a quiet, comfortable upstairs room.  Parking is available in the road outside.

I also offer Zoom sessions to people who cannot manage stairs.

I offer open-ended counselling rather than a fixed number of sessions, which means we have time and space in which to work at a suitable pace for you.

Sessions are weekly, on the same day and at the same time. Each session lasts for 50minutes.

I offer some reduced rate sessions according to need.

I aim to give my clients advance notice of any breaks I take.

I work within easy reach of Luton, Leighton Buzzard, Harpenden, Redbourn, Tring and Woburn.

My first session

The first session is an initial consultation in which we can decide if we want to proceed with regular counselling. It typically lasts between an hour and 90minutes. The fee is the same as a regular session.

There is an assessment process which we complete together. At the end of the session you will have an idea of what counselling is like.

I look forward to meeting you.
