About me and my therapy practice

I am a qualified psychotherapist with experience working with a diverse group of people. I have experience working with many different life experiences.

I offer a warm and trusting environment to help you feel comfortable expressing what's on your mind. I know how unpredictable and confusing life can be, as we move through life we can face many different challenges; from childhood experiences through to adult life. I have worked with families and children for many years, focusing on childhood experiences and how they carry through into adult life. Working with families and children has given me a strong understanding of family relationships, childhood experiences, attachment styles and how they show up in adulthood and the complexity of adult relationships.

These years of experience has given me a unique insight into how adults relate to each other and how the past may have affected the present. I have a real interest and passion for psychodynamic therapy and have supported many clients with current and past experiences, and with a range of different therapy needs.

I am a versatile therapist and I feel that building a therapeutic relationship is paramount to enable trust to develop, and allow you to feel safe to share. I aim to make you feel comfortable to explore your therapy goals, supporting you to make sense of them and empower you to understand yourself and your experiences better.

Practice description

I've worked with a diverse group of clients supporting them through the ups and downs that come with self exploration. I aim to always be knowledgeable and open about diversity and incorporate open discussions within therapy, when it feels natural and helpful.

I work within a integrative approach as I like to incorporate mind and body, creative therapy and learn about what works best for my clients.

My first session

During our first session I will contract with you and may ask you to complete an assessment.

Within our first session we will discuss what you would like to get out of therapy and what your expectations of therapy are.

We will then start to talk and explore your chosen therapy goal and begin to develop our professional relationship. This is a good time to see if we work well together and if you would like to move forward with the sessions.
