About me and my therapy practice
Online counselling for adults across the UK
I’m Neil, a BACP registered integrative counsellor offering online counselling to adults across the UK.
You may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, low in confidence, stuck, or simply unsure what needs to change. You might be overthinking decisions, comparing yourself with other people, struggling with work or relationships, or feeling that something in your life just doesn’t feel quite right.
You don’t need to have everything worked out before starting counselling. Sometimes just knowing that you want things to feel different is enough of a place to begin.
My approach is warm, relaxed and person-centred. I’ll listen carefully, ask questions and help you make sense of what’s going on without judging you or telling you what you should do.
I also draw on CBT and Transactional Analysis where they may be helpful, but the sessions are always shaped around you rather than forcing you into a particular model.
Online counselling can be a good option if you prefer talking from your own space, want to avoid travelling, have a busy schedule, or simply want a wider choice of counsellor than those available locally.
Sessions are 50 minutes and cost £50.
If you’d like somewhere to talk things through and work out what feels right for you, feel free to get in touch.

About me and my therapy practice
When was the last time you spoke to someone who really listened to you? Someone who heard what you were saying, understood what you needed and didn’t judge you for it?
I'm Neil, a passionate and empathic counsellor with a deep belief in the power of connection and self-discovery. My approach to therapy is rooted in the idea that together, we can uncover the strengths you already possess and use them to navigate life’s challenges.
I offer Online Therapy across the UK and Walking/Outdoor Therapy in Stockport (Marple, Poynton, New Mills)
I have a strong foundation in Person-Centred Therapy (PCT), which places compassion at the heart of the healing process. If you often feel overwhelmed by self-criticism or a sense of not being "good enough," this approach can be particularly transformative. We’ll work as a team to identify your needs, explore effective techniques, and create a path forward that makes life more manageable and fulfilling.
Inspiration
I meet you where you are, with the understanding that change is not only possible but within your reach. I’m here to walk beside you as you tap into your own resilience and find the power to transform your life. Let’s embark on this journey together.
Specialised Support
We all feel a little lost sometimes—unsure of which decisions are best for us, or weighed down by the stress of daily life. Talking can be the first step in helping you overcome these challenges. I’ve worked with many people facing difficulties such as anxiety, depression, bereavement, family issues, stress, and loneliness. My role is to help you find the root of your problems and facilitate easing the pain you’re going through.
I am trained in Person-Centred Therapy (PCT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Transactional Analysis (TA).
Practice description
My Approach
I believe that therapy should be a balance of seriousness and light-heartedness. Humour has its place in the healing process, and I strive to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and supported. Whether we’re delving into attachment issues, incorporating methods from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), or simply holding space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings, my goal is to ensure you never feel alone in facing what’s difficult.
Working Together
Are you feeling overwhelmed by life’s daily challenges? Have you been surviving rather than truly living? If you’re struggling with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, or other issues, know that you don’t have to face them alone. Together, we will explore your experiences, identify patterns that may be holding you back, and work towards a future that aligns with your values and goals. My approach is always collaborative, ensuring that you are an active participant in your journey of healing and growth.
My first session
Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and for you to get a feel for whether counselling with me feels right for you.
We’ll talk about what has brought you to counselling, what you might like help with, and anything you feel is important for me to know. You don’t need to arrive with everything worked out or know exactly what you want to talk about.
I’ll also explain how I work, confidentiality, and what you can expect from future sessions. There is no pressure to commit to a set number of sessions. We can take things at a pace that feels right for you.
