Availability

I work days and into the evenings Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and normal working hours Thursday and Friday. This can be flexible. I normally keep weekends free, so if you decide to contact me over the weekend it may be Monday that I respond to you.

I always try to respond same day, but I promise to get back to you within 3 days. 

About me and my therapy practice

Hi,

Feeling stuck? I work with people and relationships who have had experiences that they can’t shift. We would focus mostly on relationships, with yourself, with the people around you and with the world. It can be hard to reach out and trust someone, I have experience working with people who have had a hard time finding the right therapist.

·       Anxiety, low mood, and behaviours that you may want to change.

·       Do things feel like they keep going wrong in the same way?

·       Do you have something you’ve never felt able to explore?

·       Is your relationship feeling like it needs a change?

·       Are you unsure of what the next steps could be?

We would challenge the way that you think and behave to find out what we could do to make the changes you want to.

I work both long and short term, weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly. There is always the option to change your choice to make sure that you feel in control of your sessions. 50 minute sessions for individuals, and 60 minute sessions for couples. 
I have experience with LGBTQ+ clients, and work in an affirmative way of all identities.

Practice description

I offer a free intro call so we can get to know each other a little. Asking questions about different aspects of your life like your support networks, and exploring what your challenges are. Sessions are online only. With couples if everyone want to be there for the call this can be done on google meets or a speaker-phone call. 

Ideally I work weekly, but I understand this isn't going to work for everyone. Fortnightly is sometimes a better option for people for a number of reasons. I will always try to accommodate schedules if possible.

I also send any information that you may need over after the intro call, so you can have a look before committing to sessions. Including my contract and a form for all the information I need to begin sessions. 

My first session

In a first session we do a lot of figuring out, I go through the therapy contract, explain it and normally set goals for therapy. To see where you're at, and where you want to be. 

This is a good chance to ask any questions you might have about therapy. It's about making sure that we are both on the same page, and that therapy is what you want to commit to.
