About me and my therapy practice
When life feels unmanageable, or you find yourself repeatedly caught in destructive relational patterns, untangling the past can feel daunting. As a trauma-informed practitioner with extensive clinical experience spanning forensic mental health, courts, and residential therapeutic settings, I offer a deeply containing, non-judgmental, and secure space. Using a psychodynamic approach, we will safely explore beneath the surface of your current struggles, making sense of early experiences so you can break painful cycles and find a more grounded way forward.
My approach is not just about managing symptoms, but about working together to understand root causes, navigate emotional distress, and build greater self-awareness and resilience at a pace that feels right for you.
My Experience & Approach
My training is grounded in psychodynamic theory, and drawing from my specialist background in forensic and residential mental health, my practice heavily centres on complex trauma, neurodiversity, cross-cultural identity, intergenerational dynamics, and challenging personality presentations. I offer both short and long-term therapy, providing the clinical safety needed to navigate profound emotional distress.
I also bring experience working inclusively across diverse communities and multilingual backgrounds (with the capability to conduct therapy in English, Italian, and Somali). I provide a steady, thoughtful, and collaborative environment where you don't have to carry your challenges alone. Working remotely via online video or telephone allows you to access this reflective space conveniently from the comfort and privacy of your own home.
Practice description
I offer both short and long-term therapy, providing the clinical safety needed to navigate profound emotional distress. Drawing from my background in forensic and residential mental health, my practice heavily centres on complex trauma, neurodiversity, cross-cultural identity, intergenerational dynamics, and challenging personality presentations.
My first session
I offer a free 15 min phone call ahead of booking an initial consultation. The first session is a chance for us to explore whether therapy is right for you. I will want to hear about what is currently troubling you, how you experience those struggles, and a little bit about who you are and how you got to this point in your life.
In our sessions, you can expect me to provide a safe space for you to find your own way to put thoughts and feelings into words. My role isn't to tell you what to do, take sides, or offer quick fixes, but to work collaboratively at your pace.
The initial consultation is ultimately for both of us to decide if we are a good fit for working together. If we agree to move forward, we will figure out a plan that suits you. And if a different approach or another specialist would better appeal to you, I will help point you toward appropriate sources of support.
If you have any questions or feel unsure about taking that next step, please feel free to reach out via message or email, and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
