About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I'm Kelly. I'm a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist currently offering online sessions.
I take an integrative approach to therapy, blending psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioural, and person-centred methods to create a tailored and effective therapeutic experience for each client. My holistic philosophy focuses on treating each person as an individual, considering the full context of your life alongside the issues you're facing. My goal is to ensure that you feel understood and supported in a way that resonates with your unique experience. With a MSc in Forensic Psychology and an MSc in Counselling, I bring a well-rounded expertise to my practice. With over a decade of experience in the mental health field, including both private settings and the NHS, I have accumulated a lot of experience and success specialising in helping clients navigate anxiety, depression and neurodiversity.
I am committed to using evidence-based techniques and staying actively engaged with the latest research and developments in the field. This dedication ensures that my methods are both scientifically grounded and aligned with the most current advancements in psychology and psychotherapy.
Practice description
As an interpretive therapist my practice is tailors to suit my clients, this is across approaches and styles, I'm not a therapist who will just sit, stare and not react, and I'm happy to see clients relax, swear and bring your authentic self to the session.
I have a lot of experience working with ASD and ADHD and am happy to adapt my style to suit your needs.

About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I’m Kelly. I’m not a typical “blank slate” therapist, I work in an integrative way, blending different approaches to create something that fits you. I’m active in sessions: I listen, reflect, support, validate and, when it’s helpful, gently challenge.
If you’re feeling stuck, lost, out of control or empty, I’ll help you understand what’s happening beneath the surface and give you tools to get back in control and moving forward. Nothing is too small to bring.
My approach is warm, grounded and straightforward, I believe therapy should feel like a real, human conversation. I bring honesty, clarity and calm to help you explore what’s getting in the way of living the life you want.
I work with adults from all backgrounds and have particular experience supporting people who are neurodivergent (including ADHD and autism). My clear, direct style often helps make sense of things that have felt confusing or overwhelming.
If at any point I think you’d benefit from a more specialist therapist, I’ll support you in finding the right person rather than leaving you to figure that out alone.
Practice description
In my practice, I offer a calm, supportive and down-to-earth space where you can talk openly and feel genuinely heard. I believe therapy works best when it feels collaborative and honest, not clinical or detached. I’ll meet you as a person, not a set of symptoms, and we’ll work together to make sense of what’s happening in your life right now.
Sessions with me are active and engaging. I listen carefully, but I’ll also share observations, offer tools and perspectives, and sometimes gently challenge the patterns that might be keeping you stuck. My goal is to help you develop a stronger sense of self, clearer understanding of your emotions, and practical ways to cope or make change.
I work with adults on a wide range of issues including anxiety, low mood, burnout, identity, relationships, self-esteem, and life transitions. I also have particular experience supporting neurodivergent clients (including ADHD and autism), and people who may have spent years feeling “different” or misunderstood. My direct and clear approach often helps create safety and understanding where other experiences may have felt confusing or invalidating.
I currently offer online and telephone sessions, and I aim to provide a flexible and inclusive booking system that adapts to your individual needs.
You don’t need to have the right words or a clear goal to start, we can work that out together.
My first session
Your first session with me is relaxed and informal, it’s about getting comfortable and helping you feel at ease rather than being tested or analysed. We’ll start by going over the basic “house rules” of therapy, such as confidentiality, boundaries, and what you can expect from me in terms of communication and approach.
After that, the space is yours. You can share what’s brought you to therapy, what’s been happening for you, and what you’d like to work towards. You don’t need to have everything figured out, we can explore it together at your pace.
The first session is also a chance for you to get a feel for how I work, and to decide if you think we’re a good fit. I’ll always be honest about whether I believe I’m the right therapist for you, and if not, I’ll help you find someone who might be a better match.
My aim is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and clearer about what the next steps might look like.
