About me and my therapy practice
Life is hectic. Hitting pause once a week can make a staggering difference. By developing a therapeutic relationship based on trust and authenticity, we can work together towards a particular goal, or I can provide a place for you to reflect. I want you to feel seen and heard for who you truly are.
Perhaps you are someone who spends a lot of time thinking about things, trying to understand yourself and others, but still finds yourself caught in the same old patterns. You might be used to putting other people first, holding yourself to impossible standards, or feeling that you should be able to keep all the plates spinning at once. You might feel that some of these struggles have their roots in the past, or maybe you feel like everything is about to unravel and need some space to work out why.
You might have a specific issue that brings you to counselling, or you might want to explore patterns and that keep showing up in your life. Either way, we can start with what's happening now.
Our work can be long- or short-term, and I'd recommend we take one or two sessions to ensure you feel comfortable.
I work by combining several different theories (modalities). We can discover what suits you best.
My approach blends Transactional Analysis, Person-Centred, Gestalt and Psychodynamic theories, but our way of working will be unique to you.
We'll agree a weekly slot, where we meet online. Fortnightly sessions are an option, but only after a minimum of ten sessions, once we have established our working relationship.
