Availability
I have some availability on Mondays and Wednesday afternoons and evenings in Person at Earls Court and offer online sessions where available for couples and individuals.
About me and my therapy practice
I am a couples and relationship therapist in West London, Earl's Court, and online, specialising in working with neurodivergent couples, individuals with ADHD and students of all ages, with a current focus on couples therapy.
At the moment, I have availability for couples or individuals on Mondays at 4pm and Wednesdays at 7pm, and also have an online spot on Mondays at 3pm - I have a waiting list for all other Monday and Wednesday afternoons/evening slots.
The way that I work
With couples, I work with all types of issues, including the baby decision and communication issues. I also work with many neurodivergent individuals and couples where one or both parties have diagnosed or undiagnosed ADHD.
Couples therapy is a place to listen to each other, having the space to talk without being interrupted. I provide this safe space and hold the boundaries for uninterrupted exploring, breaking unhelpful cycles and communication. Couples therapy is not easy - it's difficult to undo what was learnt in childhood, or as an adult in romantic relationships, which, by their nature, can be triggering and upsetting.
Couples therapy can provide a space to slow down without judgement in order to untangle these unhelpful reactions and cycles with a therapist that you trust.
Issues or areas to explore that couples might come to therapy for:
Fighting or arguments that never seem to resolve
Communication issues
The baby decision
Feeling 'triggered' or emotional during important talks
Infidelity/affairs
Opening up the relationship/Polyamorous relationships
Depression and anxiety
One or both people in the couple going through grief
Sexual issues
Pace issues around marriage, children and moving in together
Practice description
Working with individuals or couples with ADHD (undiagnosed or diagnosed)
Counsellors, including myself, cannot diagnose or assess ADHD or any kind of neurodivergence in sessions. However, I work with individuals to discern what a diagnosis would mean to them, and have helped individuals through the emotional aspect of the assessment, which can be confronting, long, and emotionally difficult. ND individuals often struggle with emotional regulation, sensory issues, relationship difficulties and feeling understood and empathised with in a world not built for highly sensitive individuals - I provide a validating space where all emotions are valued and accepted.
I would warn someone with ADHD, in line with current research, to be very careful when choosing a therapist so things like RSD or sensory issues don't have to be explained in sessions, reducing the chance of feeling misunderstood.
