About me and my therapy practice

As a therapist, I offer a warm, safe and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly, feel truly heard and begin to make sense of what's going on for you. You don't need to have the right words, know where to start or have anything figured out. Together, we can gently explore your experiences, understand how your past may be shaping your present, and make sense of the feelings or patterns that might be keeping you stuck.

My approach is compassionate, collaborative and gently challenging. I'll support you in exploring the parts of yourself that may have been overlooked, rediscovering what brings you joy and helping you reconnect with your own needs, values and sense of purpose. Our work may involve therapeutic conversation, practical strategies or creative approaches, depending on what feels right for you. I'll encourage you to explore new perspectives, recognise your strengths and make changes that feel meaningful and achievable.

Above all, therapy offers you a space to step away from the expectations and responsibilities of everyday life and focus on yourself for a while. A place where you can feel comfortable being yourself, without the pressure to keep everyone else happy, hold everything together or hide how you really feel. It's an opportunity to explore what's going on for you, understand your needs and give yourself permission to be who you are, rather than who you feel you need to be.

Life brings changes that can feel overwhelming. You might be navigating motherhood, adjusting to an empty nest, relationship changes or wondering what comes next. Younger people may be struggling with transitions, a recent diagnosis, friendships, relationships or family difficulties. Whatever you're facing, therapy offers a space to explore your experiences, understand your feelings and find a way forward that feels right for you. You don't need all the answers or have to face things alone.

Practice description

We all experience times in life when things feel difficult, confusing or overwhelming, and sometimes we need a space where we can make sense of it all. I work with both adults and young people, supporting them through the challenges life can bring, whether these relate to relationships, emotions, past experiences, identity or changes in their lives. Whatever has brought you to therapy, you don't need to have all the answers. We can begin wherever you are, exploring what's happening for you right now and what might help you move forward.

Life brings many changes, and sometimes we can find ourselves feeling lost, overwhelmed or disconnected from the person we once were. Perhaps you're struggling with anxiety, navigating a difficult experience, adjusting through a transition, becoming a parent, or finding your feet as your children grow up and begin to need you differently. Maybe you've spent years caring for someone and are now wondering who you are beyond being a carer, parent or partner. You might be asking yourself what you enjoy, what matters to you now, or what the next chapter of your life could look like.

These transitions can bring a whole mix of emotions. You can feel grateful for the life you've built and still feel something is missing. You can love being a parent but miss the person you were before. You can look forward to a new chapter while feeling uncertain, anxious or even grieving what you're leaving behind. Whatever you're experiencing, its valid and your feelings deserve space, understanding and compassion.

I can support you to reconnect with yourself, understand what really matters and feel more confident in finding your own way forward.

My first session

I offer a free 15 minute telephone consultation, so we can have a chat, and see if we are a good fit to work together.

Starting therapy can feel daunting, especially if you're not quite sure where to begin or what to expect.

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and for you to begin sharing what has brought you to therapy, at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

You don't need to have everything worked out or know exactly what you want to say. I'll offer a warm, safe and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about what's happening in your life, how you're feeling and what you might be struggling with.

Together, we'll begin to explore what's important to you, what you hope to gain from therapy and how we might work together to support you.

There's no pressure to share everything at once, and we'll take the time to build a relationship where you feel heard, understood and able to be yourself.

My approach is compassionate and collaborative, so while our sessions provide space to explore your thoughts and feelings, we can also consider practical strategies or different ways of looking at things where helpful. Most importantly, this is your time, and we'll work together in a way that feels right for you.
