About me and my therapy practice
Are your feelings getting in the way of living a good life?
Do you sometimes feel not good enough?
Are you withdrawing from others or feeling afraid?
Therapy can help with this, and I work with clients who have had painful experiences, relationship problems, or who feel blocked to change in their emotional state. It may be that these feelings are scaring you; I will help you explore what’s troubling in a safe and supportive way, working towards the changes you seek. Together we find out what is stopping you from feeling good, and use your emotions, your thoughts and your behaviours to move towards a better way of living.
We will explore how your emotional problems are expressed in your behaviours - it may be that you are being destructive, aggressive or hurtful in some way, or perhaps being submissive. Our aim is to identify the underlying causes of your distress and to change your responses to these experiences.
What You Can Expect
You’ll work with me, a Masters-level qualified, BACP-registered psychotherapist and counsellor who brings high ethical and professional standards to ensure your safety, confidentiality, and wellbeing. Your preferences are always at the centre of the work. From the focus of the therapy, to the pace of progress - I work collaboratively with you, building on your own self-understanding as the foundation for growth.
I’ve helped many clients with their anxiety, ADHD, depression, anger management and relationship problems. Low self-esteem is a response to difficult life experiences - we will work to change the way you feel about yourself.
Practice description
Therapeutic Approach
I hold a Masters in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy (Roehampton University) and bring years of practice experience. I offer:
• Integrative psychotherapy & counselling drawing on CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), emotion-focused and person-centred therapy
• Pluralistic therapy, where your needs, goals and preferences shape the direction of the work
• A safe, non-judgemental space where you can be yourself, free from expectations
• An approach that values both insight and action helping you understand yourself while building the skills to live well
Your feelings are the signals we use: we work on changing them after we have accepted where they are coming from. By considering therapy you are making an important step towards making things better.
