About me and my therapy practice

Specialist Support for:

Relationship Issues, Grief, Loss & Bereavement

Are you facing the pain of a relationship breakdown, or grieving the loss of a partner, baby, or pet? You don't have to navigate it alone.

I'm Maureen (MA), a Humanistic Counsellor and Relationship Therapist. I offer a warm, trauma-informed space where you can feel truly heard, valued, and understood.

I can help with:

• Relationship challenges, conflict, and communication difficulties.

• Grief, loss, and bereavement, including baby loss and pet loss.

• Processing difficult emotions, regaining clarity, and moving towards healing.

Together, we can work through what you're facing, reconnect with your inner strength, and find a clear way forward.

Life can be difficult, full of uncertainties and challenges, leaving us feeling distressed, overwhelmed, confused, or isolated at times.

As a qualified therapist, I want to reassure you that while these feelings are challenging, they are a normal part of being human. You haven't failed, you're not wrong - often, these are normal reactions to difficult situations, and what you need is to be heard and supported at this time.

I have additional training in bereavement, grief and loss, which is invaluable when dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma and relationships.

Whatever your reason for considering therapy, I can offer a safe, calm space, free from judgment, that allows you to feel supported enough to begin making sense of what you are experiencing and help you find a way forward that provides a greater sense of ease within you.

Practice description

As an integrative therapist, I offer a range of therapeutic skills, allowing me to work in a way tailored to you. I believe that we are all unique, shaped by our own very personal set of experiences and way of being in the world. As such, my therapeutic approach will reflect this, and I will work in a way that is attuned to you and your individual needs.

My aim is to work compassionately and collaboratively at your pace and to a depth that feels comfortable and safe for you. I have a special interest in working with bereavement, grief, loss and relationship issues.

At the heart of my work is the belief that we are all capable of finding the answers to our difficulties, and my role is to help you find your truth and a sense of meaning in life. By doing so, I believe you have the potential to change in a positive way that feels right for you.

It is my hope that our therapeutic relationship will allow you to embark on a journey in which you can increase your confidence and belief in yourself, as well as in your future choices.

I work with and welcome clients aged 16 and over from all backgrounds and look forward to getting to know you as the unique individual you are.

My first session

I understand that starting therapy can feel daunting, and I offer a free initial 15-minute call to talk through any worries you may have.

This gives us the opportunity to understand what you hope to gain from therapy and to discuss how we may work together.

Most importantly, it allows you to see how comfortable you feel when talking to me, as I believe it’s so important that you feel at ease with your therapist to get the most out of the therapeutic work.
