Availability
I currently have some availability on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. With so many therapists out there, how are you meant to choose? It can feel like a big decision, especially if you’re already carrying a lot.
About me and my therapy practice
What I offer is to meet you exactly where you are. No expectations, no pressure, no need to have the “right” words. Just you, as you are, and space for us to explore how you see the world and what it's like being you.
A big part of my work is helping people become more aware — your feelings, your patterns, your reactions to life’s twists and turns — and then supporting you in learning how to navigate those reactions with more understanding and compassion.
“Without awareness we are not truly alive.”
— James Bugental
People go to the gym, and work on their bodies. Why not do the same for your mind?
Equally, you don’t have to wait until everything feels like it’s falling apart. Many people come to therapy simply because something feels off, or because they want to understand themselves more deeply. However, if you are in very difficult place, you’re just as welcome. There is no wrong time to reach out.
Humans are incredibly complex and fascinating beings, their resilience to life events, strength in adversity and ability to cope, change and grow, never ceases to amaze and impress me.
In my practice I am grounded, authentic, calm and down to earth. I have experience of working with (but not limited to) anxiety, grief, self-esteem, trauma-related childhood issues, drugs, gambling, alcohol and other substance-dependency issues.
Practice description
I am based in comfortable and safe practice rooms in Bristol City Centre where you will always be warmly welcomed and safely held. You can talk freely and without judgement or criticism.
We can't change what happens to us in the future, or what has happened to us in the past, but with some work, we can change our relationship to those events. There will still be challenges, but you can respond from a place of learning, understanding and compassion.
I work mindfully, relationally, thoughtfully, in a trauma-informed way, that is both creative and careful.
I hope to share some of what I've learnt on my journey thus far, to empower you to find the tools to look after, and regulate yourself.
I don’t see myself as the expert on your life — you are. The relationship we build together is at the heart of the work.
My role is to sit beside you, not above you, and to help you make sense of what feels confusing, heavy, difficult or painful. Together, we can explore what’s happening for you, gently uncover patterns, and help you feel more grounded and supported in your day‑to‑day life.
My first session
Therapy isn’t about “fixing” you — it’s about creating the conditions where you can connect and understand yourself better, grow at your own pace, and move closer towards the life you want.
To me, the quality of our working relationship is at the core of our work together. As I believe, that it’s the quality of the therapeutic relationship that does the healing.
Feeling comfortable talking to your therapist is important, so I offer a free 15–30 minute phone call. It’s a chance for us to talk, get a sense of each other, and see whether starting therapy together feels right.
My fees are on a sliding scale (£55-75) based on your income, because I want therapy to feel accessible, as much as possible. You decide where you feel you sit on that scale — it’s based on trust, honesty, and what feels manageable for you.
