About me and my therapy practice

Life can feel overwhelming at times, and you don’t have to face it alone. Whatever you’re going through right now, there is a way forward—and therapy can help you find it. If you’ve found your way here, you might be looking for a space where you can talk openly and truly be heard. I provide a supportive counselling space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, behaviours at your own pace.

Whether you are dealing with a long-standing issue/s or navigating a particularly challenging period, together we will work towards a deeper understanding of yourself, your relationships, and your situation. We will explore personal solutions, which may include making significant changes or developing coping strategies for challenges that cannot be easily resolved. You are at the centre of our work together, and therapy will be shaped around your unique personality, needs, and goals, so you feel truly seen and supported every step of the way.

Areas I work with most often:

  • Trauma
  • Abuse (physical, emotional, sexual)
  • Anxiety, Depression & Isolation
  • Anger, shame or emotional numbness
  • Low self-esteem, people-pleasing and perfectionism
  • Relationship difficulties (including with self)
  • Burnout, stress & career struggles
  • Life Transitions

Practice description

My own adverse life experiences have shaped my ability to offer genuine warmth, compassion, and connection, allowing me to support people from a wide range of backgrounds. I understand how important it is to feel heard, understood, and validated, and as a counsellor I bring empathy, intuitive thinking, and attentive listening to every session.

I believe the therapeutic relationship is at the heart of meaningful counselling. As we work together, I will challenge where appropriate to support personal growth, but I will always provide a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you can openly explore your thoughts and feelings.

Having worked in both the NHS and private practice, I recognise that every individual brings their own unique story, shaped by personal experiences, cultural contexts, and current challenges. With this in mind, I work collaboratively, adapting my approach to reflect what feels most helpful to you.

My counselling style is flexible and integrative, drawing on different therapeutic methods and techniques to best meet the individual needs of each client. At the heart of my practice is a commitment to fostering greater self-awareness, resilience, and emotional well-being, supporting you to move towards positive change in your life.

About me and my therapy practice

Much like in counselling, I see the supervisory relationship as the heart of effective supervision. My aim is to create a safe, welcoming space where counsellors feel comfortable to openly explore their clinical work without fear of judgment.

I provide an integrative,  reflective supervisory environment that empowers counsellors to build confidence, develop skills, and strengthen professional identity. I offer sessions that balance structure with flexibility, thoughtfully tailored to fit each person's unique learning style and the needs of their clients. I encourage reflection and self-awareness and at times respectful challenges, helping to build confidence and clarity in therapeutic decision-making—all while keeping a warm, steady focus on safe and ethical practice.

I hold an NCPS Diploma in Supervision from Iron Mill College of Counselling & Psychotherapy in Exeter. My counselling career began in the NHS, before I went on to establish a successful private practice. As an integrative practitioner, I supervise counsellors working with a broad range of client issues and offer a variety of therapeutic approaches. I am committed to continuous professional development and the ongoing evolution of my practice.

Practice description

My approach draws on two well-established supervision models: Hawkins’ Seven-Eyed Model and Proctor’s Three-Function Model. Together, these frameworks offer clear structure and depth, forming a flexible and comprehensive foundation that adapts to evolving needs while upholding ethical and professional standards.

I offer supervision to:

• Trainee and newly qualified counsellors — supporting skill development and professional identity

• One off session to counsellors setting up private practice — providing reflective and practical guidance

• Experienced practitioners – seeking collaborative, thought-provoking supervision

Supervision sessions are charged at £60 for 1hr or £80 for 1.5hrs and are payable in advance via BACS. A 48-hour cancellation policy applies.
