At the moment I have availability on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons. I offer online or phone sessions to adults across the UK as well as in-person sessions to adults with access to Glasgow city centre.
Please get in touch if you are interested in finding out more. We could arrange a free 15-minute introductory phone call to help establish whether to work together.
Please note I will be taking time off in October (2nd-23rd).
About me and my therapy practice
I know how challenging it can be to reach out for support, how exposing it can feel, and how important it is that you are met with warmth and understanding. This is what I aim to offer, along with listening without judgement, openness and consistency.I have worked with people facing mental health challenges in a variety of capacities over my working life and it eventually led me to psychotherapy. It is a privilege to work alongside people during some of their toughest moments and to see their capacity to lift themselves up.
I work with people who are overwhelmed and anxious, people who feel low and depressed as well as people who feel alone, lost or stuck and unsure how to move forward.
I offer confidential person centred counselling and psychotherapy sessions. This could be short term sessions or longer term depending on what it is that you need. If you are not sure what you might need it's something we can review and discuss as we go along. Sessions tend to be weekly at a regular time, but I will aim to offer flexibility where I have availability.
Practice description
During sessions I will listen to you with warmth and openness, without judgement while helping you to reflect on the challenges in your life and how they impact you. You may feel like you are holding things together on the outside while struggling on the inside and this is something we can consider together. Talking through the things that you have been holding onto tightly can offer a sense of relief and a new perspective.
As a person centred therapist it means we will work collaboratively in a way that suits you. We will focus on what you want to talk about, going at your pace and at a depth that feels right for you. I will work alongside you to help untangle your feelings, build self-awareness and self-acceptance to help you to move towards where you want to be in life.
My first session
Before getting started on sessions, we could arrange a free 15 minute phone call where I can offer more information about what to expect with working together. Please note, communication to arrange a call or sessions will be by email.
In our first counselling/therapy session we will begin to get to know each other. We will talk through our counselling/therapy agreement with space for you to ask questions. This first part usually takes around 10 minutes. The rest of the session will be a chance for you to share what has brought you to counselling and what you hope to get from it.
