About me and my therapy practice
When life feels stormy, clarity and understanding are the first steps towards change. Counselling can help you to make sense of things, and support a way forward. I offer online, telephone, and walk and talk options.
Whatever is going on for you, know that you don't have to go through it alone. Having a counsellor alongside you can be a deeply empowering experience, offering you a place to say and feel everything you need to, without unwelcome pressure and judgment.
I will provide patience, softness, and gentle challenge - all essential for change.
In our sessions, you may wish to discuss what's happening in your life now, how you're feeling about that, and what you're finding most challenging. There may be important events underlying this, and you may decide to explore those as well.
Counselling can help to release you from what's holding you in the present or the past. You may choose to discuss how you would prefer your life to look and feel, and what changes might be necessary for that to happen.
Areas of life that I can support with are:
- abuse, trauma
- grief, loss, bereavement, pet loss
- relationships, separation, divorce
- anxiety, depression, stress
- loneliness, self-esteem, attachment
- work, studies
- redundancy, retirement
- illness, ageing, life stages
- miscarriage, infertility, baby loss
A common theme in my work is relationships, as they thread through every aspect of our life and are typically at the heart of our pain and contentment. How we feel about others, how we perceive them to feel about us, and how we feel about ourselves.
I am trauma-informed, neuroaffirming, and LGBTQ+ friendly. If you are autistic or have ADHD, I will do all that I can to make you comfortable and accommodate your needs.

I have been counselling people since 2021 and running my private practice since 2023. Alongside counselling, I have a working knowledge of health and adult social care, having spent 15 years in a variety of public sector roles. I have provided counselling within the prison system, and started my working life in an investment management team. I feel like I've done a lot, but have finally found my home.
My first session
Our first session is an Introductory Call on phone or Zoom, and is free of charge.
This call enables us to get to know each other a little. You will describe your reasons for coming to counselling and what you're seeking. I will explain my ways of working and the ethical requirements I adhere to. Together we will discuss how sessions might be organised to best suit you.
The introductory call is important, and a good way of us checking if I am the right counsellor for you at this time.
During this call, we may also begin the initial assessment and agree on a preferred time and day for your first full counselling session.
I look forward to meeting you.
