About me and my therapy practice

I am a person-centred counsellor based in Woodlesford, Leeds, and I’m passionate about providing a safe and supportive environment for individuals looking to explore counselling therapies for various issues including anxiety, ADHD, depression and general day to day struggles. I do understand that seeking counselling can be a significant and sometimes difficult step, and I appreciate the courage taken to starting this important process, however out of your comfort zone it may feel.

Practice description

I offer a confidential and non-judgmental space where you can freely express your thoughts and emotions. I recognise that our present experiences can be influenced by past events. I am here to help you explore such issues and encourage you to gain mindful insights that can positively influence your current situation and circumstances.

As a person-centred counsellor, I firmly believe that you are the expert in your own life. My role is to support and guide you in discovering your own solutions and empowering you to make meaningful changes. Throughout your counselling sessions, I will provide a compassionate and empathetic presence as we explore your concerns and work towards your desired outcomes.

To ensure the highest standard of care, I engage in regular supervision with an experienced counselling supervisor. This practice allows me to maintain a healthy and professional approach to my work. Additionally, I actively seek ongoing professional development opportunities such as workshops and training courses to enhance my skills and knowledge.

As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I adhere to their ethical framework and regulations, ensuring that our work together is conducted with integrity and professionalism. I also hold full professional indemnity insurance, and hold a clear, fully comprehensive DBS barring service check for your peace of mind.

My first session

In our initial meeting, I believe it’s important to have an open and collaborative discussion about your reasons for seeking counselling.
