Hi, I'm Charlotte
Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile, and well done for taking this important step in your journey.
Reaching out for support isn't always easy, but you don't have to face life's challenges alone. I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace, whether they relate to the past, present or future.
With over 450 hours of counselling experience, the majority gained within private practice, I have supported clients through a wide range of emotional and life challenges. I work with adults aged 18+ and have experience supporting clients from 18 through to 91 years old. Every person is unique, so I tailor each session to your individual needs—there is no "one size fits all" approach.
Alongside individual counselling, I also offer relationship counselling. This includes couples, families, friendships, parent and adult child relationships, step-families, and non-traditional relationship dynamics, including polyamorous relationships where appropriate. Whatever your relationship looks like, you will be welcomed without judgement.
My ways of working include talking therapy, Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Therapy. Together, we'll find an approach that feels right for you. Whether you're looking for short-term support to work through a specific issue or longer-term therapy to explore deeper patterns, sessions are tailored to your individual needs, goals and pace.
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, and when it does, having someone to truly listen can make all the difference. While I can't make problems disappear, I will sit alongside you, helping you make sense of what's happening and supporting you as you find your own way forward. I believe the capacity for change already exists within you—my role is to help you discover and build upon it.
About me and my therapy practice
I offer counselling in a way that suits you:
* Face-to-face in a comfortable, private counselling room.
* Online via secure video call, providing you have a private space.
* Telephone sessions if this feels more accessible for you.
If you're wondering whether counselling is right for you, I invite you to book a free 20-minute introductory telephone call. It's an opportunity for us to get to know each other, discuss what brings you to counselling, and decide whether we're the right fit.
Feeling comfortable with your counsellor is incredibly important. My hope is that from our very first conversation, you'll feel listened to, respected and supported.
I look forward to hearing from you.

My first session
What to Expect from Your First Therapy Session
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it's completely normal to feel a little nervous or unsure about what to expect. My hope is that by the end of our first session, you'll feel more comfortable, understood and reassured.
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We'll talk about what has brought you to counselling, what you would like support with, and what you hope to achieve through therapy. There is no pressure to share everything at once—you are welcome to go at a pace that feels right for you.
I'll ask some gentle questions to help me understand your situation, but there is no right or wrong answer. This is your space, and you're in control of what you choose to talk about.
We'll also discuss how I work, answer any questions you may have, and agree on the best way to move forward together. Therapy isn't about being judged or told what to do. Instead, it's about working together to help you better understand yourself, your experiences and the changes you'd like to make.
Whether you're looking for short-term support or longer-term therapy, each session is tailored to your individual needs. My aim is for you to leave your first appointment feeling heard, respected and knowing that you don't have to face things on your own.
I look forward to working alongside you, by your side, as you take the next steps in your journey.
